PC illiterate needs help

I need some help.

I have a 1GB voucher from Axxess and I was wondering how I go abou this to activate it?

Where do I enter the username and password and are there any settings I have to change on my router (and if so where)?

Please use small words and easy step by step instructions to explain this to me

Firstly, yes you need to change the settings in your router.
What model router do you have? (telkom Mega 105WR or Linksys or Siemens or Netgear)
1) Assuming you have the Telkom router, you need to enter the following address in your browser: "10.0.0.2" then press enter
2) You will come across a login page that requests you for the following: "Username" and "Password". The default username is "admin" default password is "admin". Type those in and click "Login"
3) You will be brought to the routers "Home Page", if the above details were correctly entered. Here you will need to click the disconnect button under "Connection Information". wait 25 seconds.
4) In the left hand column, click on "quickstart" this will bring you to a page where you will need to enter the username and password that are printed on your axxess voucher. Once these are correctly entered, click on "connect" and within a couple of minutes you should be online again.

or you can just change your router to bridged mode, create a pppoe connection with the axxess details and connect like that

Now see that went the same way as telling a cat to cook the tuna in some olive oil and drizzel it with cherry extract before giving it a sprinkle of parsley and cloves

Create a pppoe connection from your PC by doing the following in XP:

1) Click Start, click Control Panel, and then double-click Network and Internet Connections.
2) Click Network Connections, and then click Create a new connection in the left column 3) After the Network Connection Wizard starts, click Next.
4) Click "Connect to the Internet", and then click Next.
5) Click "Set up my connection manually", and then click Next.
6) Click "Connect using a broadband connection that requires a user name and password"
7) Type "Axxess" (or whatever you fancy), and then click Next.
8) Type the user name and password from the axxess voucher.
9) Type the password one more time to confirm it, and then click Next.
10) Click "Add a shortcut to this connection to my desktop".
11) Click Finish to complete the wizard.
Now whenever you run out of cap, or when you want to use the axxess voucher just click the icon on your desktop to connect and you're all set. no need to get into the routter to change anything.
PS: The Telkom router is by default set to bridge mode so you won't have to change anything there.
