PC Link Computers: Legit?

got this from Payfast today.

We have had communication from PC Link Computers. They are actively working on recovering their backlog for orders and refunds as we speak.

Would you kindly contact them via email and wait 2 working days for a response.

Should you receive no response, please reply to this email and I will contact them directly to request feedback regarding your order.

I also received an email this morning from them, stating that my order is cancelled and that they will refund me in 7-14 working days. I am not holding my breath though. Will need to see if they get to me before the lights go off for the last time :-|

They not, they been have issues for months.

"Unfortunately we have to cancel the below order and action a refund request due to a problem encountered with the distributor.
Refund will be processed within 7 to 14 working days.

Lets hope the refund happens without me requesting a charge back from the bank.

I am glad to report back that I received my money back from Standard Bank, so the charge back was successful. I am very impressed with how fast it was (4 Days).

I would like to thank everyone on here that gave advice and shared their story, otherwise I would be R15k poorer now, or would've been waiting indefinitely for a refund from the scum that is PC Link Computers.
 
Saw another report now on Google reviews that the house / "office" that PC link operated from is empty

It is an empty house.
There is nobody at their physical location.

This is the second person to report that the Florida Glen house they operated out of, is no longer in business.
First suspicion that they were closing the office/house was on the 22 Mar 2022 on Hello Peter with a person claiming that they were busy packing up and an employee refused to provide details of anyone higher up in the company.

First confirmation was from a person on Carb forums sending a courier to collect on the 4th Apr and being told the company closed.
Second report yesterday from a Local Guide with 135 review spanning 5 years so not a random new account also claiming the house is now empty and there is nobody there.

I hope more people are successful in getting assistance from their bank to get their money back, thanks to those who posted their successful methods and forms so far, I am sure it will help others as well.

this is true the house is empty. sent someone there to check.

Don't do it. Two orders, no delivery, no response to support. Eventually got hold of somebody who blamed the supplier.
Good example of where they "guarantee" short delivery and then don't deliver (item like this took 3 weeks after I complained bitterly).

And I see www.pclink.co.za now jumps to something called clicktobuy.co.za.

Now it looks like they have run away.
 
I had someone reach out to me today to try to help. I've just phoned PayFast, who can't tell me anything other than there have no been an unusual number of complaints and that it's business as usual with typical long lead times.

I am busy doing the same thing .
Do not use PC Link computers .
 
Actually Afrihost should be included in all complaints and communications otherwise. They are the current hosting provider and has said they will take down/action if shown that pcl is in fact conducting questionable business.
