PC Link Computers: Legit?

Bought from .co.za once in 2020. Everything went smooth as I mentioned in this thread before. Glad I never bought again.
Many of us has good experiences and as mentioned it boosted their trustworthiness.

Bought a Mustek inverter and Vision LA battery from them during the Great Lockdown of 2020. Took months before I got it. Even then their customer support was circling the drain.

My gut would be that they're not some criminal masterminds exiting with millions - more likely they couldn't sustain their business as they had been operating at very thin margins for quite sometime. I might be wrong but regardless of why it happened this behaviour is inexcusable and frankly criminal.
I would have believed that if they simply went bust and closed down but their behavior the last few months points to using delay tactics for a coordinated exit.
Late March they were packing up their office as reported by a customer going there in person, they didn't assist and they refused to provide said customer with contact details for anyone higher up in the chain to get a refund.

In this very thread they were caught lying when a customer reported them to the Consumer Goods and Services Ombud Office, they threw out a half assed reply claiming 45 Working days to deliver. here

From some of the complaints there were people kept on a line for 5+ months with no goods or refunds.
They left their website live taking payments, right up until Payfast finally stepped in and closed their account, that's when the .co.za website was taken down. but they still left up the .com site for a bit longer.

Jup smells like they knew the jig was up and decided it was time to bug out with the cash.
I don't doubt they were probably struggling before this happened but instead of shutting down they master minded themselves a nice payday on the way out.

Now the people who commented "I used them before and had no issues" should also be taken to task for advertising for this scam.
Huh? If a person used them and has no issues then they can surely state that, no?

Ultimately a person will weigh the weight of these anecdotes vs, for example, that of a thread like this one.

Sounds like the kind of a behaviour of a business going bust robbing Peter to pay Paul regardless of the dodgy business practices mentioned. A liquidator will ultimately get to the bottom of it.

Hi. Where do I report my orders. I had 2 x orders of which none of the products were delivered. Nor refunded. Its been months now.

How do I proceed in getting my money back?

I spent R800 rand at this place a month ago, and still waiting for my order. Now guess I'll never see my money or product I ordered.

I want my money back. If their website is offline, how do we proceed? Class action lawsuit?

How can people who were successful purchasers from them "be taken to task"?
People asked what was the experience, people responded.
I bought once in 2020, 2 years ago, and collected my galaxy buds next day from the distributor. Experience was positive. But they never had anything else I needed so never bought from there again.

It was legit once, as I bought twice from them without issues. But advertising and taking money without delivery is not a contravention of the Consumer Protection Act, it is actually criminal fraud, and far worse.

Bought from them in 2020, mixed results. They claimed no stock of the GPUs I ordered, but I think they just marked the items with the incorrect price and didn't want to follow through. They also ordered incorrect cases as part of my order. Get rekt.

R800?

I would write that off as a "bad deal"

if it was R800k it would be worth the effort R800 wouldnt be worth the time at all..

If you paid via card then your bank can get you the money back

I actually bought a card back in 2016 from them and a copy of starcraft legac of the void in 2019, both times service was good. Sad to see.

They haven't disappeared. The same dodgy family that ran PClink.co.za have just redirected the website to their other dodgy online store, clicktobuy.co.za. It has the same address listed as the business address, 29 COEDMORE ROAD, BELLAIR, DURBAN, KWA-ZULU NATAL.

Its exactly the same family operation, just a different Pty Ltd so they can pretend the PCLink.co.za orders aren't their problem. Same contact number

PC-Link CC run by:

ACTIVE MEMBERS:
NADARAJAN MOODLEY
KARTHAGESAN MOODLEY (also runs Nexsus.co.za)

They also run some road surfacing companies to get in on the tender money: EZ STREET COLD ASPHALT, EEZEE COLD ASPHALT, SIYAZAMA ROAD SURFACING, PERMANENT ASPHALT SOLUTIONS

Click to Buy Online (Pty) Ltd run by the one oke's daughter:
DIRECTOR: ALYCIA MOODLEY

Active Director of:
CLICK TO BUY ONLINE, TRANSCARGO LOGISTICS, MZANSI CATERERS

They also run Makuselwe.co.za which the Moodley's claim is Makuselwe Trading (Pty) Ltd, but no such registered company exists. That is fraud.
You're smearing the wrong company and people.

  • pclink.co.za and pclinkshop.co.za are not owned by the same people
  • pclink.co.za orders ARE their (Click to Buy's) problem, but pclinkshop.co.za orders are not
  • None of the directors are or were involved with the company in question. The company in question has only had one director, the owner. He shares neither a name, surname or even ethnicity with anyone mentioned above
  • The two are based in different provinces. The company in question is based here in Gauteng and has never expanded its operations outside of the province
  • You're confusing PC LINK COMPUTERS CC (the company in question) with PC-LINK CC (which has existed since LONG before the company in question opened its doors)

Are you sure? PC-LINK CC is the same as PC LINK COMPUTERS CC? They're registered decades apart in different provinces? A domain pclink.co.za != pclinkshop.co.za ?
