PC screen noob. Budget of 2.5k each. Must have HDMI and VGA. DVI would be nice. Laptop screen is too small to work efficiently without continously scrolling. Would like to be able to use them to watch videos from a distance.

What features and brands should I look for? Also is there a noticeable difference between 21 and 24 inch?

I have a 24" samsung screen my son has the 22" samsung screen. Same version as mine..i have hdmi and sound port that he doesnt have. Both screens have vga and dvi. Big noticable difference when watching movies or series on my pc compared to his.

I had a mix of 22", 23" and 24" before I changed all to 27". If you have the budget, go 24". There is a noticeable difference.

The difference between a 21" and 24" 1080p display is moot.

Just don't get a 27" 1080p display. You can see the pixels from the other side of the room. It's horrible. For 27" and above get a 1440p display.

Is this any good?

+1

Get the smallest 1080p display as the DPI is higher.

I prefer 27" over 23/24" playing 1080p. The DPI doesn't phase me. I just prefer the extra real estate

There is no extra real estate. Real estate means more pixels. All you have is larger pixels.

I mean the larger screen. I prefer it. Sold my 23" a year ago and replaced it with a 27". Wouldn't go back...

I think I'll pop on over to Incredible Corruption to view a couple screens and buy online cheaper if I like any.

Had a look at a couple. 21" seems too small. Not much of a difference from the 18" displays.

Maybe my eyes aren't as good as some of yours, but I'm happy with my 27" 1080 screen after I was advised to stay away.

Then again it could also have been the R2390 price that made me overlook it.

Anyway I wouldn't go back to my 22" screen after this.

Why did you need so many inputs?
