[Personal Experiences] Hisense TV's

Hi how do I get disney+ on the A8H? Please iv updated to the latest software but can't seem to find it
Geewiz is pretty good, the U8H has some issues with colour banding, or that might be the 7H, if you can look at the K variant apparently it's fixed that issue. The A8H is OLED and is

You don't want to, it's not the best app, but if I remember I just went into the app store and checked there

Got the A8H Yesterday. Banger TV, The colours are out of this world. The blacks and colours are just really great. Must say the brightness is also bright. I get indirect sunlight in the room and still see clearly but requires more testing this weekend with the cricket. In some fast pace motion it does sometimes look weird but I think there is a setting to fix that I still need to play around with it.

Vidaa Also does not support HEVC so well with plex. Got some videos transcoding still so have to look into that this weekend. No F1tv support as well and cannot get some apps like VLC for some live streams or Twitch which can be solved by plugging in a Laptop but thats a hassle. Also Notice plex being a bit laggy as well compared to my other devices. But this might be solved with a cabled connection. Also test 4K 120hz this week end with a PC.

But so far Great purchase. Audio is okay if there is a wall behind it. Dont expect good base though

go to makro and get yourself a Mi Box S 2nd gen for R899 - it will play everything and also allow you to install VLC or Plex or KODI or whatever video player you wish to use and its going to play every format you can transcode to

VIDAA is basically like s#!t gone bad for a month and the Android based Google TV on the mi box is way better and compatible with a helluva lot of stuff in fact it plays everything i throw at it (just need a DV [Dolby Vision] compatible software to play DV files - i use just player which sadly only works with local files via USB - i can't a way to make it work with the network connection) - i actually only use my Hisense TV just as a screen - i don't use a single smart feature that is standard on the TV

seems dodgy because my Hisense TV came with Disney+ preloaded on VIDAA - check the "My Apps" section it might already be there .... i don't use it but its there if i ever do subscribe to it

Its the only app with Avatar2 I want to watch and there's downloads that worked for me. I went into the app store and searched disney+ but no results...

I did check it's not there

I did check it's not there

okay - then on the home page scroll to the search icon right at the top of the home page and do a search for disney+ and browse to the "Apps" tab after the search - you will find it there - i just tried and its pretty easy to find - you will most likely have the option to install it if its not present on your unit

EDIT : hang on - i tried to open my one and it tells me that this service is not available in your region please contact disney for more details - so that could be the reason why - did you ever use it before?

actually something seems faulty somewhere - because i tried opening disney+ on my Mi Box S 2nd gen and it went on a section where it says login or sign up to continue - so it seems to be working on the Mi Box but not on VIDAA - might be some kind of licensing issue .... searching in Google i found this

so not sure if it ever worked on VIDAA - but it seems fine in Google TV

I've had no issues with banding on my U8h, think it might have been the U7H. And even so prob an isolated issue as haven't seen any other reports of it.

The app is still there on my tv, but not signed up so haven't tried it. Just get to the login screen.

Howsit guys - Im in the market for new tv,

My current options are Hisense U8H, Samsung Qn 90B, Hisense A8h

I see the U8h is going for R9499 at takealot, seems like a good deal.
A8h Oled is currently going for 13k on Geewiz, but i see guys here picked it up for 11k previously on takealot, im keeping my fingers crossed if it drops.
Qn 90B is going for R14 999 at Hifi Corp, but i prefer not to buy from them.

Anybody has any experiences with Geewiz, i havent purchased from them before.
I'm super happy with my U8h, and at that price is a bargain. Don't think you would be disappointed

It did for a bit, haven't tried again

this is why i don't like VIDAA - tried again now and half an hour later its working fine - takes me to the login screen without the "taurus excretus" story that this service is not available in my area and now it wants me to sign up or login - either way seems like a really cr@ppy experience and really not encouraging me to want to subscribe to Disney+

For now I just sail the high seas if there is any other content I want. Luckily Plex works well on VIDAA

Looking at this TV.

I think it's the cheapest I've seen the 65"

It's the 2022 fifa world cup version so not the 2023 spec but very good price for size and features like 120Hz VRR. What do you guys think?

That's a damn good price for that model in my opinion. I'd pull the trigger if I were you :)
