Yes what I posted is latest 2019, what I gave you(2018) was at the time the only firmware that manifested dstv now in the background. I got that fixed. All versions now manifest.
Soon OTA should also be finished and your A6100's will update automatically and no more asking for firmware. Will release this systematically to the public.

So this update broke DSTV now. I just get a spinning loading icon when trying to watch anything just like @jouda.

It's kind of a problem because everytime I do a software update DSTV asks me to re-register the device and I've hit my limit after this last update.

. What should I do to get DSTV to work on this TV without rolling back and having to re-register the device on DSTV again

Unfortunately, you have to reregister every time you do an update. I will PM you a personal link to the 50A6100 A002 i1113 firmware to roll back on to.

No offence, but don't release an update that breaks one of the most commonly used apps. And on top of that uses one of the limited registrations you can do.
Disappointing.
 
Looks like people have been having success on the DSTV forums requesting the devices to be removed manually. I'll ask them to remove my 3 Hisense devices registered( for the same TV)

The best solution was for me to just buy the Android Shield and bypass all the 'smart software'. Now I am happy, all frustrations are now gone. I just use the TV as a display monitor.

The real answer is forget about the smart component all together.
Just an unnecessary complication.

Checking for my serial number I found my model is actually A6130..... And not A6100 as assumed from the Takealot page.

Got a new file from Hisense SA and popped it in, and BAM! Updating screen shows up.

Does anyone have experience with the B7100 Series? I can't find it on the ZA Hisense website. eBucks selling the 65b7100 for R9699. Thinking of buying it.

According to Hisense it's the same as the outgoing 6B series.
 
@Hisense SA - I bought a TV in SA about a year ago (Model: 65M7000UWG) But since moved to Australia. My questions are:

1. Is there a way to get the latest firmware version for my TV but for the Australia region and not South Africa?
2. The tech sheet shows that the TV supports 5Ghz wifi networks. My TV doesn't see my 5Ghz network and only 2.4ghz. Why is this?

Ended up hisense, quality is really good its crap dstv content made the tv look weaker.
Though I get no display if enable dolby vision or hdr, which is suppose to be supported. This is on apple tv 4k and 55b8000w

If you are patient the Hisense 65 A 6100 comes around for under 10k every now and again. I got mine last year but saw one a few weeks back for 9999
