[Personal Experiences] Hisense TV's

Looking for a 43" UHD model to use as a PC monitor, cant decide which brand. Any help please?
The best model Hisense 43" is the 43B7100UW. This model only has a refresh rate of 50 Hz. If you're going to be gaming, you might want to look at something else.

Go to the sound balance option, go to it and type in 1969 a green M should appear, this will give you the option to change regions on the backend. Australia might be there?
Worked 100% thanks a mil!!!

Also fyi, manage to connect to 5ghz wifi but had to drop the channel from 161 to 49 or something. Seems fine with speeds and the tv works so will keep it on that

You need to unzip it a couple of times using 7zip until it becomes a .bin file
Hi i have tried unzipping further but get error see attached pic, was told some models use .bin file mostly newer models and some older models use .pkg such as mine (2017)

Hi kind people of the forum.

We have a Hisense 50k321uw, which randomly drops horizontal lines all over the screen. These can range anything from white noise to random colors. They also tend to appear and disappear at random and restarting the TV tends to fix it sometimes. These random lines also do not influence the sound of what's playing at all, only the picture. Any idea what could be causing this and a possible fix. The TV is unfortunately not under warranty and was handed down from one family member to another since they upgraded.

Please if anyone has any info about this issue and whether it's fixable or what it would cost to repair, that would be much appreciated. Cheers.

Hi,

Can anyone tell me the best settings for Hisense B8000. I checked online but the UI for the H8f and B8000 differs as I don't find a theater picture mode. Which it's said to be the best settings.

I am just using default with HDR 10 and HDR set to "HDR DAY".

Now the Showmax app on my 58n5000UWG plays for exactly 6:35 and than goes back to the menu.

I have the Hisense 50A6100UW, I have downloaded the update from hisense.co.za/software - so it downloads as a Bin file. According to hisense website,it says I have to extract the file to a .pkg file before putting it onto a USB stick. I have downloaded many programs now to try extract that file! Nothing works. How the hell do I update this crap tv?

Since the thread did not specify CRT or flat screen TVs... I can say the following. I'm a CRT tvtech. Being fixing CRT for around 25years. CRT is alive and well in my area. Believe it or not. ANC supporters here are tired of their nice, new flat screens been stolen. So they haul the CRT out. And I repair. They heavy not like flat screen TVs. So they are more difficult to steal.

Anyway, HiSense made some really good CRT sets. Never liked their huge 74cm sets. Crap to work on and sometimes the tubes were crap.

On the other hand, HiSense 54cm CRT were, and still are, really nice to work on. I've saved and maintained many here. Especially thick neck sets. So I reckon they are an OK company.

They have invested massively in Atlantis just outside of Cape Town. Ex Tedelex manufacturing plants. So they are here and not a fly by night for us here in SA. Now if only I can call someone there when I need tech help...that can speak English lol :)

Great thanx, dolby vision works correctly now. Can enable it and be forced on content and UI. Use to work match content enabled which forces it sdr when detects the content playing.
