Makro shows dstv content on demo tvs, hisense looks rubbish with these content. If want to watch dstv rather get samsung or LG.

U7A is old now its last year model, rather look at B8000, through the B8000 at makro is also dull with dstv content.
Where it shines is when enable dolby vision and play content from netflix etc.

I am really happy with my B8000 with dolby vision enabled through apple tv.

Not too concerned about dstv, I want to watch high quality 4k content. The demo of the u7a was not a split screen dstv. It was a plain demo just on the 1 tv. Even though you say the u7a is last years model (top end), same can be said for the lg uk6300 (entry lvl) as it is also last years model. I would rather save R5000 and get a much more decent quality picture. Problem is I don't understand why the u7a is that bad (surely it should be better than the uk6300

The Q8600 range 4K TV sold locally, is it the american model H9F equivalent or European U8B equivalent?

Does it have full array local dimming? Should be 132 zones for the 65inch model. This is a real important feature and a deal breaker for me. Can't be buying a Non-FALD TV at the end of 2019.

Thanks
As far as I am aware the Q8600 is the H9F equivalent.

Hi nX3lemZ

The 65Q8600UWG does have the 132 local dimming zones.
Please find more info on the 65Q8600UWG below:

Oivey I left on the motion smoothing after I reset my TV hoping to fix showmax. Which didn't and still no word from Hisense on the forum. Wow motion smoothing is horrible.

The Hisense isn't real HDR. If the brightness isn't 1000nits or more it won't be true HDR.
Hi Lupus

The Q8600 is 1000 nits - Are you saying all Hisense TV's aren't true HDR?
Dolby would not allow Hisense to use their name if this was the case.
The B8000 uses wide colour gamut and has over a billion colours - It is 700 nits and also has Dolby Vision.

Regards

i didn't say all Hisenses, I said it's not true HDR if the nits are below 1000. Even 1000 is entry level really.

I'm looking at the Hisense 65B8000, I suspect this will be one of the TV's on special at Black Friday.

What would you guys say are the comparable Samsung and LG TV's? My opinion would be Samsung UA65NU7100 and LG 65UM7340. And if so, how do these compare?

Think you need to compare to samsung RU7100, NU range is 2018 and RU is 2019.

B8000 is also 2019 so it is fair comparison.

Through neither the LG or samsung has dolby vision, where the B8000 does.

Samsung does not pay the Dolby fees so they don't have it on any of there tv's.

The LG maybe, but it would need to be a different Samsung (apart from the RU7100, the NU7100 is last years). Saw both of the 55" versions in store yesterday, and the Hisense really blew the Samsung out of the water.

That's interesting. Which store was this?

I'm struggling to find reviews of the B8000 online. Is it equivalent to the H8F sold in the USA? I know that the H8F is Android TV, but I don't really care about the software on the TV, only picture quality.

Trying to find any info on any of there 2019 models seems to be a bit of a mission honestly.
