Works well with my Nvidia Shield. Google Home wakes up the shield which wakes up the TV.

You might need to format your flash drive to FAT32. That worked for me

Ive had a Hisense 50A6100UW since the beginning of March. The issue with Netflix is super frustrating. I have to log into Netflix almost every day now. It seems that there is some sort of cache issue. Resetting Netflix or clearing the TV cache fixes the issue.

Ive tried to update my firmware with no luck. I downloaded the bin file, copied it to a flash drive and, plugged it into my TV and powered it up holding the power button on the remote. The TV just starts up normally. Trying to update via the menu I get a message claiming the firmware is up to date.

All in all I think the TV is not really that smart. I should have returned it but I guess its too late now.

Would be nice if Hisense can add the version number on their support site. That way I can check whether the firmware on the site is newer than what I have installed.

After doing the update @Hisense SA provided Netflix is working perfectly

Thanks for the tip, but I've already tried that. Repeated the process on a different flash drive as well.

I've also tried the bottom facing USB instead of the side one.

[Edit again]: Re-downloading again in case I got a corrupt file.

Got the new firmware from @Hisense SA.

Netflix is okay now. Amazon Prime is now available. I don't have an account to test it though.

Good to hear. Now I wonder why people have to personally ask for a firmware update. Why don't they put the update and their website?

I don't know why we can't just update via the web? The option is there but it doesn't find anything sigh.
 
Signs are that the firmware link I was given is the UK version. The TV was mostly reset after the update and the country was set to UK. I used the menu option to update from USB.

Initially I thought Showmax had disappeared and been replaced by Amazon, but I could manually add it to the Home menu and it does appear when the apps button is pressed on the remote.

Amazon looks kinda rubbish with the channel selection. Is this a SA only thing?

I also "lost" showmax after the firmware update. My location was set to algeria , but I think it was my fault. Changing the location to SA did help.

Only thing I want now is to get my tv to go to the "home screen" when I switch it on.

I think my weather location was reset to Algeria as well. The country setting was UK though.
 
Thought I would mention, Hisense pm'd me the update, I did it this morning, no more world cup!
