[Personal Experiences] Hisense TV's

for the life of me I can't get the update to work, I do the plug pull, insert the USB and plug in with holding the power button on the remote. It just boots normally through the Russia 2018 logo and the hisense logo. If I go to update in settings and select USB it says there is an update and reboot now, then it just boots through the boot sequence. Im getting rather upset as I wanted to upgrade this weekend to a 65" but I have my doubts over Hisense now and may just move to Samsung.

Your loading the wrong firmware. Give me your firmware version?

You need to check version you have, i had the same issue and then you get the software according to the version you have.

Would it be possible to download all so that I can test at home once Im there, Ill just download now and then check at home which to install

DM Hisense and let him/her send you the various links to download the software for the two versions

My hisense 49K3110PW seem to have lost it's neflix.
I have d/loaded the software from your side, unzipped and tried to install as per the directions of the site.
All to no avail.
Is there some secret method that I need to know about.
Please advise

I'm really struggling with the Netflix issue, and not having Showmax... so unhappy with my hisense... feel like i have buyers remorse... @Hisense SA is there any update for 55N3000UW downloading from website, and tutorial isnt helpful, it just

Unfortunately I don't have the latest N3000 firmware. Please contact the service center on 021 555 4260 so they can provide you with the latest firmware.

Please contact the service center on 021 555 4260. They will be able to sort you out on this matter.
 
Been struggling with the Netflix issue since I bought my 50A6100UW in Nov 2018. Tried updating with the software on the Hisense Website, but that didn't work.
Then called Hisense, they sent me an Email link to a We-transfer update file. That didn't work.
PM'd Hisense SA here on MYBB, dude asked for the current ver. of Software, I sent it, and he then replied with another We-tranfser link to Software. Explained to update via the USB option (not as per the Hisense website video instructions).
That finally worked, and update installed. Thanks Hisense SA.

FYI for those with a 50A6100UW there seem to be 3 versions of updates:

1)If your firmware version starts with VA002, its the below firmware.

2) If it starts with V0000, its the firmware on the Hisense website.

3) My tv's ver was V0000.01.00a.I0421, but the above did not work, so the software update that worked was in this link as received from Hisense SA on this forum.

Dude, you saved me with this post.
I've had a 50A6100UW for about 10 months now, and I've never been able to upgrade the firmware - either through the automatic detection (which I read somewhere, if you change your TV region to UK it'll detect the UK firmware update online) or via USB. I tried every variation of the upgrade instructions:

* Switching unit off at the plug while switched on, plugging flash drive in, holding power button on remote while restoring power - nothing happens

* Switching TV off, plugging flash drive in, holding power button on remote while switching TV on using power button on TV - nothing happens

* Tried multiple flash drives, and reformatted them a couple of times - FAT16 and FAT32

I logged a ticket with Hisense, they gave me the same set of instructions as above, and they supplied me with the firmware file in your 2nd point - usb_HEA6100UWTS 2.bin - that didn't work either.

I came across this post and downloaded the firmware in your 3rd point and low and behold, it worked! And it worked simply through upgrading the firmware from USB through the GUI, not using any of these convoluted steps above.

I'd been plagued with the same Netflix issue as a lot of Hisense TV's (i.e. it works the first time you sign in, but once you switch off the TV and try again later it doesn't work anymore, unless you reset the app and sign in again), but that's been resolved now. It's also patched out the Russia 2018 World Cup splash screen, and the unit seems to switch on and display much quicker than before.

Is there perhaps a possibility that you guys can add support for the Twitch.tv app in the future?

Not a trainsmash if you don't. I have an Android TV box, but would save me money buying another one in the future should I opt for a Hisense TV at year end.
 
So now my Netflix is dead. I click on the app or the Netflix button and it just flickers. Nothing happens. very annoying. 50A6100. I've got the new firmware. Which worked for a while

I got a pm with a new update file. Netflix working again
