What question MUST you ask when buying a SMART DEVICE?

What is the Operating System used by this device?

That simple question will burst ALL the Smart Device Bubbles we choose to live in.

Learnt this the hard way, I bought a Hisense with that s*hitty Vewd/Opera TV software, I regretted it a few days later. It is slow and buggy, and their app store isn't really an app store. I later bought a Mibox, solved my problems.

Model numbers would help people as if you bought a n3000 or A6100 then it's like buying an entry level Samsung phone and moaning Android is slow and clunky.
 
@HisenseSA : Is there a new software patch for the 43A6100UW?

The wifi connection on my set keeps dropping and when I go into Settings to manually select my router to connect it says"No results found"...........

The patch on your site is the same as the one I have used on this set already.

I'm not sure if I might be missing a setting somewhere. For YouTube/Netflix I set my audio back to the Receiver amp via ARC. Ever since I updated my firmware to fix the Netflix persistent login issue, I'm not getting any signal on the subwoofer channel of the Dolby Digital decoded stream. Actually, if my speaker settings are any of RAW, PCM or Dolby Digital the result is the same... no bass and my subwoofers remain quiet. On the original firmware everything was fine, actually if I changed between the three options I could audibly hear the difference, but now no change on the new. Am I missing something?

Are there any Hisense 55 inch TV's with QLED panels? Wondering how it compares to the Samsung Q6F.

Nope QLED is Samsung tech, ULED is basically the same thing.
 
Has anyone been experiencing issues launching the Youtube app on their Hisense TVs?

It does not work anymore on my 43" set.

Is their any way to delete the Youtube app and reinstall??

Hey Guys, I need a little advice, im currently in the market for a new 4k tv, im looking at Samsung Nu7100, Hisense a6500 or Hisense a6100, all 65", can anyone recommend any of these, and what is the main difference with the A6500 and thr a6100 Hisense.

Any gelp will be appreciated.
