Yes, but try and bring your friend down to R13k.

Hi everyone, i would like some advice/opinions on the following 2 TVs:
55A6500UW - https://www.takealot.com/hisense-55-premium-smart-uhd-hdr-tv/PLID51970923
58A6100UW - https://www.takealot.com/hisense-58-uhd-hdr-smart-led-tv/PLID53707477/description

They are both almost the same price and size and resolution.
Reviews are view and far between and from what i have read on previous pages both are good, the 6100 series are entry level but does that mean the 6500 will be better?
I know its a similar question to what @Drikusj said i'm still not sure.
Any input would be appreciated.

@Tydmors I went with the 65A6500 and very happy with it, I've been using it for the last week no problems at all, as far as I can see is the 6500 is a bit brighter than the 6100, but only saw the 6100 at game on display so not 100% if it is brighter. Mostly using it for gaming as I have a 100" screen and Optoma HD projector for movies. But very happy with the tv.

Thank you very much @Drikusj i will keep that in mind, this will be my main display at home. I'm replacing my old 32" HD Samsung.

Good Evening

I'm having an issue with my Hisense TV model HE50A6100UWTS.
Everyday I have to reset Netflix. When its working it great but after a while when you try and play anything it will load to 24% and freeze, and then an error will come up. Only resetting application data in settings fixes it. Its just a bit annoying having to log in everyday.

Has anyone else had that issue?
Perhaps @Hisense SA could assist?

Thanks

Hi

I have the exact same issue. I have tried to update the firmware via the TV but it says it is on the latest version.

Hi There im battling to upgrade to the latest firmware, please can you send me a link? my current version is: VA001.01.00a.I0929 sorry its a 65a6100

A close friend of mine has the Hisense 50A6100UW (R6.5k retail)
I have a Samsung 55NU7100 (R10k retail)
Brother has a Hisense 65A6500UW (R15k retail)

I've watched quite a bit of 4k content and played 4k games (Xbox one X) on all of the above.

A6100UW
Picture: not great and HDR seems to not be activated with certain content
Sound: Not great
Media: No issues with playback from USB (interface not great)
App store: Very limited

NU7100
Picture & sound: Massive quality difference compared to the A6100UW
Media: Some 4k titles buffers a bit at first.
App store: Great app store with Netflix and DSTv apps supported.

A6500UW
Picture: Noticeably better than the Samsung
Sound: Not as good as the Samsung
Media: Many titles simply did not play (A6100UW handled it way better!)
App store: Decent (more apps available than the A6100UW like, Plex, Kodi etc.)

I tested some of the same games and movies on all of the above from the same console and USB drive.

How did your friend set up his xbox? Because I have the same TV and my Xbox one s will not allow 4k. If I activate 4k on xbox it just goes blank screen and then looks for signal before going back to previous resolution :/ . Help

On my n5000 it works on 2 and 3 but you need a hdmi 2+ cable, 1.4 won't cut it.

I've had it in 1 , 2 and 3. And still didnt work. I also have a hdmi 2 cable. Rated for 4k and all that as well. not sure where the issue lies.
