[Personal Experiences] Hisense TV's

Is there any software available that allows one to remote onto a TV's interface for remote support? So like one would use Anydesk or Teamviewer or Chrome Remote Desktop to log onto a Windows pc, is there an equivalent for logging onto a TV's UI?

PS My set doesn't run on Android afaik....
Unfortunately not, but we'll look into this possibility.
 
I'd appreciate some help please? Can any one tell me what the difference between the 65A6100 and the 65U7A is besides the 4k price difference?

I'm looking to purchase a unit before the end of this month.
 
@Hisense SA please assist with firmware for HE50A6100UWTS. Bought is 2 months ago, good TV but all the apps keeps logging out. we spend 10 min a day putting in passwords everyday. Bin on hisense site not working

Another "what tv" question please. I want to buy a new UHD tv for my bedroom. I narrowed my choice down to the Hisense 50 inch UHD HDR 4K Smart TV for R5800 or the 43 inch Samsung UHD LED HDR for R5000, at Takealot and Loot respectively .
Both are on special currently .
I am not interested in the sound or "smart features" of the tv as it will be connected to a Telkom LIT and AV amplifier.
Another question, do I need a tv licence to buy at Takealot or Loot? TIA

On loot you need a tv LIC i think, on takealot you can bypass the system by using 12345678 and pressing back and trying again, I think the 2nd time it lets you through. Not sure if the trick works anymore.
 
Hi guys. I hope you can help because I have tried everything! I have a 50A6100UW and I want to be clear that so far I am very happy with the quality and usage of this TV, except for the constant buffering of dstv and the Netflix log in Ui-800-3 issue. (Showmax and PS4 play are fantastic). Insofar as what I have read here, apparently an update will sort that out. I have downloaded the update from the Hisense site, I've had an update file sent to me from the Hisense people themselves, I've even taken the update file that some generous people have put on this forum, and used the right usb formatted the right way when trying to update. Nothing has worked. The TV does recognise that there is an update file but when I follow all the steps set out here my TV still doesn't update. It has been very frustrating. My system software version is VA002.01.00a.I0929 (extended version: I0929). If there is a sure fire way of just getting the tv to update (I've read that OTA doesn't exist either), I would be very grateful for any help.

Okay so I finally have DSTV Now and Showmax working perfectly on my TV. I have a 55A6100UW. It "only" took a week to get this resolved . In an effort to help others, just follow my steps below and you'll be sorted ASAP:

The fix is to:

1. Download the firmware (.BIN file) from this link: https://drive.google.com/open?id=1YAlzY9FFiYuAPObMkx6fDwhueuImUg6K (This is my own Google Drive. The link/file WILL NOT DE DELETED)
2. Format a USB flash disk as FAT32.
3. Copy the .bin file as-is onto the root of the USB flash disk (Do not rename the file, do not put the file into a folder)
4. Put your TV on, and go to Settings > Support > System Update > Upgrade from USB
5. The TV will automatically detect that a firmware upgrade file exists on the USB. Click Yes or Ok to continue.
6. Your TV will now reboot and install the firmware. (It might stay at 1% for a while. This is normal. The progress bar will eventually move. DO NOT power off your TV during the firmware update process)
7. Once the firmware installs, your TV will reset to its factory default state.
8. Change your country to SA and after a few minutes you will see the Showmax and DSTV Now apps.
9. Log in to them and they will work perfectly. (Browsing titles and streaming)

NOTE: The firmware I have provided ONLY works on the following models:

43A6100UW
50A6100UW
55A6100UW

DO NOT ATTEMPT TO INSTALL THEM ON ANY OTHER HISENSE MODEL.


Hi, I have the 55A6100UW with firmware version V0000.01.00A.I1007 Extended Version I1007.
1. Is this the latest firmware for the TV @Hisense SA ?
2. My picture quality keeps fluctuating, more so when am playing my PS4 Slim. sometimes the picture quality is okay some other time it is oversaturated. Any recommended picture settings I can use?

Has anyone else had issues getting the latest firmware from Hisense?

I needed firmware update for a 43A6100 and Hisense SA on this thread gave me a link to download the latest firmware. The link didnt work as I ket getting a message that the file was corrupt. Contacted Hisense SA again and he said to contact Hisense Customer services direct. Called and someone was supposed to get back to me but didnt. I emailed requesting the latest firmware and nada. Sent them a tweet and nada as well!

My smart tv is no longer smart as none of the apps work anymore.
 
I think Hisense would to themselves a major favor if they just put the latest firmware on their site. It would also be handy if you could put version numbers next to the firmware on your site.

I used the firmware @Hisense SA and its ok, but about once a week the network connection fails. The only way to get it to work is to switch the TV off at the plug. Nothing major, but really annoying. Im starting to have my doubts about how smart the TV really is...

BTW, the support lady I spoke to had no cooking clue WTF was going on and was really unhelpful.

Yeah same problem here. About once a week the TV suddenly doesn't see my WiFi network at all and I have to switch off at the plug to get it to connect.

I have a A6130 | 65A6130UW model. I constantly need to sign into Netflix. Is there an update for this problem or new firmware?
