How do you find it? I'm considering getting this exact model as a cheap 4K gaming TV for the study

Currently R7999 on takealot and I'm interested.

If I had to do it again, I think I would have rather gone for a 32” 4K monitor.

i think that 43” is a little too big. It’s the height that is a slight issue (would have no issue with 2x 27” 1440p monitors)

seems like a decent TV for the price, and it actually looks really good at 300% scaling, but at that size I would rather use my 15” notebook’s 4K @ 200%

If prices are the same, then Samsung is the safest bet in terms of long term service and software support and even resale value. Otherwise pick the cheapest provided the price difference is worth my first point.
 
Esquire has the 65U8QF for R17k. The 55U7QF is R10 700. Not bad.

Esquire has the 55U7QF for R10 700. I would go for that rather than the U7WF and it will be better than the Samsung and LG’s at that price point.

Is the B8000 still a decent TV to get at R8500? Will be used primarily for gaming. anyone has any experience with the input lag etc.?

I know Pick n Pay Greenstone has the 55B8000 for R7999. A while back they had it for R7999 with a R500 PnP voucher.

I have a B8000 and its a great TV overall for the price. I'd recommend it.

Until you have a warranty issue and they don't want to repair the TV

No idea, never bought from them. But looks like they are based in Centurion so maybe you can fetch if you are near there. Or call and see if they can deliver by tomorrow.
