[Personal Experiences] Hisense TV's

I am experiencing this with Netflix and Prime on both 5.1 and Atmos content. I wasn't able to test stereo but Showmax and DSTV Now seemed synced and they use stereo. This is with an LG SLY8 Atmos bar through ARC and set to passthrough on TV
The reason I'm asking is I can't simulate this issue. I do audio return to Denon AVR with no lag or issues. Maybe try updating the TV first.

yes for your U8QF. The TV with the built-in soundbar
I managed to install the firmware after struggling initially. Would be nice to know the usb has to be formatted in FAT32 but and that it will factory reset the tv but anyhow, none of my issues were fixed.

Tested all scenarios and exactly the same.

I see my FRC is still v 3.0 don't know if that maybe has something to do with it?

I am beginning to think I have a faulty TV...

Would be nice if someone can confirm HDR10+ signal on any of their units and supply me with the test sample

FRC should be version 3 if you have a 55U8QF. Each size have a different version
HDR10+ will be detected as HDR standard, dynamic ect, If content is HDR10+ meta data will be correctly processed if received. Please see HDR10+ website and look for your TV to see support for it https://hdr10plus.org/certified-products/page/2/

So it seems the trick to get @Hisense SA back to respond to queries in here is to simply start discussing other TV brands in the Hisense thread for a few weeks ;)

Thanks for the clarification on the FRC version. Please see this pic of the picture settings I got from AV Forums on HDR10+ content. This is on a B7500 though but I expect this is how it should display on all your sets that support it. I can't get it to do that with Prime content or from HDR10+ sample file on USB. It also doesn't even come up at the top right corner as with Dolby Vision content. On signal info it also shows as HDR10 only. Can this be a software bug? Or is there some other issue? I specifically went for this TV as it supports both HDR10+ and DV.

Can anybody post Youtube links of content that test the various attributes. I think these are good:

LG OLED Black:
Dolby Vision/Atmos Video : Gemini Man

I have reported the HDR10/HDR10+ identification issue in the settings menu. Maybe HQ will fix this with one of the next update patches. I want to assure you that when watching HDR10+ content and only HDR dynamic, -standard appears in the settings, that it is actually HDR10+. This info comes from the engineers and it won't affect or change your picture quality to anything it shouldn't be.

Thanks for the awesome support! I hope it gets patched. I will in the meantime do some further testing to see if there is any way I can distinguish it from normal HDR10

Thanks Hisense

Guys is there a thread on AVforums regarding the best picture settings for B8000?
