[Personal Experiences] Hisense TV's

Hi

Latest will be J1127
@Hisense SA recently bought this TV on special and the motion blur and ghosting is terrible, its very noticable when playing games. I've tried multiple settings and still no luck. Im on the latest firmware. Is this a hardware limitation or can a future update fix this. Also will these tv's get Vida 4?

OK, you can try the update to K0908 below.
Thank you for this ! I've been considering using firmware from the French Hisense website but was worried I may brick the TV
I managed to install the firmware after struggling initially. Would be nice to know the usb has to be formatted in FAT32 but and that it will factory reset the tv but anyhow, none of my issues were fixed.

Tested all scenarios and exactly the same.

I see my FRC is still v 3.0 don't know if that maybe has something to do with it?

I am beginning to think I have a faulty TV...

Would be nice if someone can confirm HDR10+ signal on any of their units and supply me with the test sample
Is there not a separate update for the FRC ? I did read something about that on the Australian forum I think .

I also read that but the Hisense SA forumite says it has to do with screen size

@Tector , how do I check my FRC version ?
You need to go into the service menu. You go to settings, sound and go down to speaker left and right balance. Once there don't enter it just type 1969 with your remote and it will exit and a green M will appear at the top left of the screen. Go to settings again and you will be in it. Once there I can't exactly recall but I think panel info or such and it will tell you your FRC version. It will stay in the service menu until you do a reboot and all will be back to normal again. It does not change any of your settings so don't worry about that

That's further than I've gotten at least...

Vodacom and Digital Planet cannot find any details of my order when I give them the reference number I received in the order SMS.
Finally got the TV!!!
Its been a pain dealing with Digital Planet but thankfully its all over now.

Nice, what's the exact model number on it?

I've had a week of them pulling time by "verifying" things.

Got an e-mail a few minutes ago that they'll deliver next week.

Hi Donkey

Below are two previous versions K0331 and J0819 this is for the VA001 panels only.
I would try reinstalling K0331 and If that doesn't work I would date back to J0819

What you need is a FAT32 usb
Extract zip file until a *.bin or *.pkg
Rename the bin file to MstarUpdate.bin to make the update roll back successfully.
Put on USB
Slot USB into USB2.0
Remove TV power Plug
Point the remote to TV while holding the power button down
Plug the power back in and release power button when the update start.
Note - Don't attempt to rename any update file to MstarUpgrade file and updating with it, unless specified to do so. It could forcefully brick your TV if the wrong software is being used with the wrong TV if you feel uncomfortable doing the update yourself contact your nearest Hisense service center to assist.

Just set it up (got it for my parents, I have the U8qf) and I must say that for an entry level 4k TV its quite good.

Only gripe I have is that the remote for the a7100f feels more premium than the one we got with the U8qf...whats up with that @Hisense SA

Just received an OTA update on my 65U7QF.

Latest version: K0904_to_K1112

A new software version is now available, it includes important updates which will enhance the operation of your TV.

Updates include:

- Release free streaming channel within the linear live TV channel list
- Improve universal search design for better user experience
- Software bug fixes

@Hisense SA Can you confirm if there is a newer firmware version than J1127? There appears to have been a report of an OTA K1110 update that at least one owner has received.(see Q8600 thread for details)

I seem to be having some trouble with ARC between my U8QF and Samsung HT system. Anyone managed to get it to work successfully? The CEC doesn't work either ! It worked flawlessly with my old TV .

I am using HDMI 1 and tried brand new HDMI cables. But there's no sound over ARC . I was hoping the new firmware K0908 didn't help either. @Hisense SA any suggestions?

I also at first had no sound. Try switching to TV speakers then back to ARC and flipping between PCM, Auto and Pass-through. Have to do this everytime HDMI cable removed and then Bam! Suddenly sound comes back and stays as long as I don't remove the cable. Maybe it can work for you. I have a LG system though and the ARC is also working. You can also try switching between standard and enhanced HDMI for port 1 if that doesn't work

Thanks tector I did try changing all those settings with no luck. I even updated my HT firmware as well as reset it to factory. I plugged my old TV back and it still works so it definitely an issue on the U8QF and ARC. What I have done now is connect via bluetooth to the HT .

A few months ago I bought my brother a 55" Hisense TV for R6500. I just realised it has the exact same remote as my 65U8QF which was triple the price :/
