[Personal Experiences] Hisense TV's

I was only talking about the comments on the video, I found them funny. However doesn't mean I agree with the highlighted part. Hisense is nowhere near LG, not today not ever. It is like saying why get a BMW when you could get a Haval for half the price and it can do 95% of what the BMW does.

I have learned in Life that cheap is always cheap for a reason and it always leads to disappointment(Buy cheap, Buy twice). I learnt the hard way. Anyways I don't want to ruffle feathers today in this thread especially since it has been somewhat peaceful since i stopped voicing my opinions in here. I will see myself out. :whistling: :whistling:

The reason for the cheap in this case may simply be due to the usual way that high end technology eventually gains the scale it needs to filter down to the mass market at more affordable prices.

No, I had the U8QF before the C1 and found the motion handling very bad for an at the time flagship tv. I had to manually install software with the hope of improving it (it didn't). I even got an Apple TV and Chromecast with Google TV (also didn't fix it).

I'm just giving my opinion though, the C1 is bright enough for me, and as that is basically the only complaint with the C1 I know the C3 is much brighter hence why I recommend.

I guess that depends on your room size, or are you referring to the pricing of the bigger tvs?

So you don't have the the A8H and were comparing it to a Uled OK cool. The complaints aren't about it being bright enough go look up black crush. It happens on oleds

Fair enough, but it does make a big difference to the experience going from 65 to 75. that being said, depending on the product range the delta can be REALLY big!

I think a better analogy is the Hisense is a 340i, while the LG is an M3.

Buy cheap, buy twice doesn’t apply here IMO.

for most people, they are upgrading from poverty spec tv’s, so these Hisense oled’s are a huge jump.
 
The Expanse books are still better than The Expanse tv show on any TV, even the C1, and you can read that for free at the library and end up smarter than the guy who watched the show. Special message to the less fortunate reading this thread.

Is there any chance for an update to the following TV - hisense 50b7200uw firmware

Still on Android TV 8, endless issues with ARC, bought a Hisense Soundbar and the TV keeps switching on.

Can you get Disney+ in 4k in the TV's browser? You can only get 720p using Windows & I got the same resolution using a 4k Android box with my 4k computer monitor. I don't have a 4k TV yet & the Hisense A8H tempting. The lack of native Disney+ support is disappointing though.

Yeah pity about the App. Need to probably watch more 4K stuff...

Browser is fine. Watched most of the new Marvel movies on Disney+. Not sure to check the resolution... Guess will have to Google.

In Windows, when you move the mouse you get various controls - e.g. pause, go forward & back 10 secs. At the top there is a quality menu. This is what I see:

I emailed Hisense about Disney+ support & received this:

We are working with our partners at Disney to release the Disney+Hostar application at the earliest possible time. This will allow the users of Hisense devices access to the Disney+ application in South Africa.
