[Personal Experiences] Hisense TV's

Geewiz has received the TV from the supplier and the price for the 65U7K was correct at R12 994

I see now the advert has been removed from their website

Did you get the 65U7K for R12994?

Out of interest those with A8H what does the TV stand look like? Cause I found bits of a TV stand laying around the house, not sure if it's complete for my TV :-) as I mounted mine pretty much on day one and the one was so heavy, I left it in the dfining room, but people moved things.

Got the A8H Yesterday. Banger TV, The colours are out of this world. The blacks and colours are just really great. Must say the brightness is also bright. I get indirect sunlight in the room and still see clearly but requires more testing this weekend with the cricket. In some fast pace motion it does sometimes look weird but I think there is a setting to fix that I still need to play around with it.

Vidaa Also does not support HEVC so well with plex. Got some videos transcoding still so have to look into that this weekend. No F1tv support as well and cannot get some apps like VLC for some live streams or Twitch which can be solved by plugging in a Laptop but thats a hassle. Also Notice plex being a bit laggy as well compared to my other devices. But this might be solved with a cabled connection. Also test 4K 120hz this week end with a PC.

But so far Great purchase. Audio is okay if there is a wall behind it. Dont expect good base though

What's the stand look like :-) I found bits of a stand, but think there might be pieces missing, as I mounted it and the original stand was huge and heavy.

Yes there is a hude and heavy stand its like squirish with rounded edges. It also has a tip screw in part that attaches to the screen and the base.

Ah think I might be missing that screw piece :-)

Nice. I haven't noticed any issues with HEVC videos on Plex, maybe only certain ones. Sucks there is no F1 TV, that's one app would be great if they could add

but everyone knows get an android box instead of using vidaa
Yip, easy solution and that's why wasn't a blocker for me to get the TV. VIDAA is currently fine for my situation (apart from F1, which would be nice) so I haven't got 1 yet

Howsit guys - Im in the market for new tv,

My current options are Hisense U8H, Samsung Qn 90B, Hisense A8h

I see the U8h is going for R9499 at takealot, seems like a good deal.
A8h Oled is currently going for 13k on Geewiz, but i see guys here picked it up for 11k previously on takealot, im keeping my fingers crossed if it drops.
Qn 90B is going for R14 999 at Hifi Corp, but i prefer not to buy from them.

Anybody has any experiences with Geewiz, i havent purchased from them before.

Geewiz is pretty good, the U8H has some issues with colour banding, or that might be the 7H, if you can look at the K variant apparently it's fixed that issue. The A8H is OLED and is pretty good :-)

Yeah the oled would be first prize, just waiting for a good deal, my budget is around 10-12K for a 55inch.

I think a few posts back, a guy was having issues with the u7h, with color banding, that looks horrible.
Does it also affect the U8h? i heard of blooming issues, but that i can live with.

Some users have reported it on the u8h as well, but apparently the k series has fixed this
