[Personal Experiences] Hisense TV's

Micro leds aren't out in sa yet and the price is going to be crazy I agree mini led has bloom that's why I did not want it. We'll the a8h was a 2022 H model, but think they don't want to deal with any oled's for now as their k 2023 models did not have an oled version.
I'm glad theyv got a new board for you, I hope they come install it for you tomorrow and there are no problems. Keep us updated
Yeah hope so as well :) look my old u7qf doesn't have that much bloom but think I got lucky

Well they've not come to install it yet, so far it's been way over a week since they came to check it. I do understand it's been the festive season though.
You sorted yet?

I've had to fight them to start the credit process, fight them to schedule a collection of the TV (since apparently that needed to happen before crediting my TA acc) and now I'm chasing them to acknowledge they've collected the TV (Wed) and to get to the next step.

Every time I phone their support line I'm met with the same lax attitude mixed with a f*ckload of noise in the background...which sounds more like a party than a workplace.

They are apparently coming today between 1:30 and 2pm, they called on Wednesday to schedule it, and a confirmation call yesterday.
I'm having the same issue with Takealot on a phone I sent back, it's stuck in what they say waiting for transit to supplier.

Tried reading through some of this thread but damn, it got tough. So my old Sinotec died last night. TV turns on and off (little power light goes on) but no picture whatsoever wants to display. Not the greatest time as I just bought some flight tickets, but I am looking at the following:

Anything I need to know? We watch TV, but not too fussy. Had no issue with my old Sinotec, so not too phased about the fanciest TV out there. Just need to know if they're decent quality and no major issues etc

So here is how too look at TVs.
Sizes like 55", 65", 75" will generally be the higher quality panels, those are ones companies would use for their higher end models.
TVs with 40", 58" and 70" will generally be the more entry level panels.
The A6K is also the entry level TV, rather maybe look at a 55" with a better panel?

Thanks Lupus. Didn't know the A6K was the entre level, but is there anything wrong with it? They also have the 55inch, for the same price, but as far as I can see, it's the same spec.

Right now about R7k to R8k is my max budget. I also need to find a TV licence but that's a different story.

I'm gonna pollute the Hisense thread :P

If you want to future proof your new TV a bit and can stretch your budget I'd also suggest looking at this option from Makro : https://www.makro.co.za/electronics...5cm-65-android-uhd-tv/p/000000000000439837_EA

There have been some reported blooming issues, especially since it has little to no local dimming. So it could end up looking like this

This maybe a bit better
But it's a mid range TV, but it should perform better than an Entry level one. I've not seen many complaints on it, and it apparently has full array local dimming.

What TV is that? When I click on it, it says it doesn't exist anymore? If that is the Z770 it's hard to find.

Weird, it worked for me like 30 seconds ago.. and yeah it is the Z770, some Makros still have stock it seems.

Yeah that would be my recommendation as well, if you can find the 55" version of that for a decent price.

Make's sense, my Makro site is set to my location in Centurion. Meh.

Called House and Home, the 58" of the A6K that they have in stock is the display model, and they don't want to budge on the price. Will do a little more research, thanks for the assistance gents.

New mobo going in, also saw the problem with the power delivery, the ribbon cable that goes to the mobo was crimping against the mounting hole, hopefully no damage
