Philips Airfryer - anyone have?

Not sure about Milex TBH. The dual basket makes a lot of sense. You just going to have to make some room on your kitchen counter ...

We have the Milex XXXL. It hasn't missed a beat in over a year with fairly regular usage. Only downside is the basket that's not dishwasher safe, but I think that's the case for most air fryers.

I always wash by hand:
  1. Preheat to 200 for 5 mins
  2. Fill with hot water and bit of soap
  3. Let stand for a while
  4. Properly wash end to end.
It really isn't that bad.

The mighty Philips air fryers are dishwasher safe.

But according to the link Dan C posted, it does say dishwasher safe but it doesn't specify if it's both the basket and pan parts

There are no reviews on the Milex dual air fryer. I rather stick with Philips for now and hopefully in a few years there is a dual basket Philips

Usually for appliances like that if it says Dishwasher Safe it applies to all removable parts of that appliance.

Instructions on cleaning the inside of your Philips Airfryer​

Please follow the steps below to clean the inside/heating element of your Airfryer:
  1. Unplug your Philips Airfryer and make sure it is not hot.
  2. Remove the basket and the pan.
  3. Turn the appliance upside down to reach the heating element more easily.
  4. Use a soft sponge with hot water to clean the inside of the appliance.
  5. If necessary, food residues stuck to the heating element can be removed with a soft- to medium-bristle brush. Do not use a steel wire brush or a hard-bristle brush, as this might damage the coating of the heating element.
  6. After cleaning your Philips Airfryer, turn the appliance back to the upright position, turn it on and let it run for a few minutes without any food in it. Loosened residues that could not be wiped off will now be caught in the pan.
Note: The area behind the heating element can be reached with a flexible brush.

Note: The pan and basket of your Philips Airfryer are dishwasher-proof.

The pan and basket of my air fryer or so big they take up two thirds of the bottom shelf of my dishwasher when I do try use that option but I find food really cakes on sometimes and then the dishwasher fails to clean it properly as its halfway to Carbon. A manual scrub is often necessary when its really caked on and can take a few minutes but is easier if I soak first in warm soapy water. If the residue looks like the dishwasher could handle it its also generally the type of cleaning job that is barely a rinse off in the basin taking a few seconds so I tend to seldom actually put mine through the dishwasher.

On cleaning the elements we have not done so much, just the time we put some very light stuff in (flaky pastry I think) and the fan blew it up into the element. Now we are more careful.

I had a Milex for about 2 years before picking up a Phillips. Nothing wrong with the Milex, the one I had was just a touch small and the basket was not dishwasher friendly. The old man is using it now and it's still chugging along.

I only did because food was stuck to it after the airflow blew it up there. If we did not clean it you got a very strong burning smell, so we had to try remove it. If you don't smell anything and can't see big stuff stuck to it I would not bother.

Does it vent it out specifically?

Does make me wonder if I could achieve similar with the oven or just my air fryer.

I assume it’s at super low temp the air fryer and most ovens don’t conventionally do?
