Philips Airfryer - anyone have?

Yes you can switch it on remotely but it's useless since you need to fill the basket anyway. Perhaps if you love bacon or hardboiled eggs in the morning you can fill the basket the night before but I don't see the point. Then you can switch it off remotely but the timer works fine for me anyway.

The pre set recipes are good but you can just set it yourself anyway. All in all there is little benefit. My coffee machine comes with wifi but most times I have to fill the jug with water anyway making the feature borderline useless.

You cant make this stuff up.
My 20 year old Defy oven(which make all food better anyway) I just put meat, sauce, veggies and even rice in a cast iron pot or what ever oven dish in the oven in the morning. Meat still frozen. Set the temp and then I set the timer to go on a 3pm and off at 6pm.
Then when we get home we can have a fall of the bone potjiekos with no hassle.
Xmas leg of lamp. Yes put in oven evening before, set to 130 deg and to start at 2am. Lunch time just take out and serve.

I recently started seeing modern style air fryers appear with glass baskets. Maybe they realized that the old style Safeway air fryers was so easy to clean, just bulky. I want. No rust too for the Philips guys.

So my 6 year old Milex is on its last legs.

A quick look at Takealot and it seems airfryer technology has moved forward quite significantly in 6 years.

What would the mybroadband experts recommend?

Budget is around 3k, maybe 4k if the extra is really worth it...

Philips. Apart from dual basket airfryers coming out the technology is still the same. Only Philips have the rapid air patent.
 
Our Phillips is still going strong after 14 years. All airfryers are not the same. There is a good reason that Phillips has a patent on the airflow technology. AND! if you need spares for a Phillips they are readily available. Try getting spares for the Johnny Come Latelies.

I've been very happy with the Philips 3000 series dual basket air fryer. Being able to cook at different temps and sync the timing so everything is ready at the same time is awesome.

I have the Instant Vortex VersaZone dual basket and I have to agree. Dual basket is the way to go. But I recommend getting one that has a divider you can remove so you can either have two small baskets or one large basket.

I have two Philips and recently got a Hisense oven style unit as a birthday present - the Hisense has largely replaced our large SMEG oven, as well as the Philips', in terms of everyday use.

I'll save the larger Philips for whichever kid of mine moves out first.
