Or butter. I haven't tried calamari but it will probably go very quick. How long did you put it in and what temp?
15 odd minutes at 200c which was a bit too long I reckon.
So next time will do 180 degrees and check it at 10.

200 for 5 minutes (pre-heated) if not frozen and a bit of oil/butter (or maybe brush it with egg?). The calamari should be done by then and the batter crispy. If frozen, 180 for 10 minutes. I would put it on some baking paper so it doesn't stick to the grid, unless you have the fancy extra grill pan.
Yeah this was frozen.
I spray and cook the grid whenever I remember so no sticky problem there.
But I did also do it alongside chips which is why the temp was high, next time I'll split it out.
Also I won't buy calamari rings again, but rather steak strips.
Steak strips, butter garlic, 5 minutes?. Yummy! Think I'm gonna try it when I have money again.
Has anyone tried vetkoek or a variant of this?
Was thinking the same thing. I will give it a go this weekend. Suggested temp? 200?Has anyone tried vetkoek or a variant of this?
Remember some baking paper.. you might just vetkoek your basket too, if the dough starts seeping through the basket..Was thinking the same thing. I will give it a go this weekend. Suggested temp? 200?
that's my worry too...Shoe that would be an interesting one, but I'm pretty sure vetkoek just won't be vetkoek without the oil.
that's probably too hot - burn outside before inside cooks? Was thinking the same thing. I will give it a go this weekend. Suggested temp? 200?
I shall test and find out!that's probably too hot - burn outside before inside cooks?
I can't make out what that is.Doesn't look ilke much but it was damn tasty.
3 Layers of sliced courgette, sliced onion, grated cheeder cheese, salt, pepper topped with a mixture of butter, cream & xantham gum (keto recipe).
Had it going for 25 mins @ 190 and it was perfectly done with just the right amount of crunch.

Lol.. the "outside" is the butter/cream sauce and the darkened "inside top bit" is crispy cheese.I can't make out what that is.
Has anybody here made a whole head of cauliflower in the airfryer yet?
Any guesses on timing and temp?

But why?
For convection ovens (read airfryers) it's advised to reduce the heat by 25F or time by 25%.Because I want to make roasted cauliflower and the oven is being abused by mom and daughter for birthday cupcakes. While I am at it might just as well try the whole head thing. And cutting into chucks always leaves plenty of smaller pieces making for uneven cooking.
And cauliflower with a pepper cheese sauce is delicious.
Well, if you do go ahead, please REMEMBER to take a picture and post it here, before the sauce goes on.Because I want to make roasted cauliflower and the oven is being abused by mom and daughter for birthday cupcakes.
