Philips Airfryer - anyone have?

I know this is the Phillips Airfryer thread but is the Mellerware Vitality any good?

So I’ve purchased the grill pan.
Will take it for a test drive tomorrow

Where'd you get it? Yuppiechef?

The best thing I have tried so far is reheating pizza from the fridge

1/3rd cup of water into the bottom pan, swirl it evenly, preheat at 180C for 7 minutes, quickly pop in 2-3 pizza slices, 180C for 4 minutes.

Comes out perfectly, as good if not better than fresh out of a pizza oven:

Bottom crust has a thin layer of crust that melts in your mouth and cracks ever so slightly as it touches your tongue. Dough tastes fresh and "juicy". Cheese is melted, moist, adroned with a thin golden brown layer.

Im not joking. It honestly needs to be tried to be believed

I do the preheat thing. But never more than 1 or 2 minutes.

7 minutes seem like a very long time. I certainly don't have the patience.

Yip its decent. I have one and Ive had good results with it. Basket is a bit small, but for the price its excellent.
I did post a few pages back regarding it.

Heh? It takes at max 3 minutes at top temperature.

Which is why I only do 1 or 2min.

Wtf.

His must not have a “ping ping” feature.

That’s way too long and would make more sense to just put it on and include it in the time then.

If your preheat takes longer than your actual cooking then you are doing it wrong. :)

The water in the bowl needs to steam. Normal pre heating is 2 or 3 minutes, for pizza you want a steam bath around the cage too
