Outside South Africa soggy chips are universally reviled, so when people overseas praise air fryers for their chips it's because it helps them avoid getting soggy "fries".To messy and air fryers work so well for chips, apparently.
So a cooking time of 40 minutes for chips in an air fryer vs a cooking time of 10 to 15 minutes frying in oil.
- cut chips
- soak for 40 mins
- dry pat/shake with kitchen towels
- toss in bowl with bit of oil
- preheating 4 mins 160
- 23 mins at 160
- flip chips
- 10-15 mins at 160 or use 180 for more crispier results.
Otherwise it's chips at cafe/or fry.
And? Not everything is a race to finishing line. Your ****ing also 10 to 15 minutes?Outside South Africa soggy chips are universally reviled, so when people overseas praise air fryers for their chips it's because it helps them avoid getting soggy "fries".
