I was at school with him and he was not nearly as big as he is now, he was freaking fast and tall though.

The bulls put him on the right gym program to gain weight but not lose to much of his speed and acceleration.

I think he would have made a good wing as well :p

Was watching the IRB U20 world championships on the weekend. The final was being contested by NZ and England. I could not believe the size of the English forwards. Absolute bloody monsters!!!! 200cm lock weighing 113kg, the 8th man 194cm and 109kg and these guys are just out of school!! The props too were huuuuge.... NZ won, no substitute for skill and technique..

http://www.england-rugby.com/englandrugby/index.cfm?fuseaction=News.News_Detail&storyid=22874

exeter Chiefs prop Ben Moon could be facing the biggest front row in world rugby when England take on Samoa at the IRB Toshiba Junior World Championship.

The official tournament factsheet lists Samoan captain and loose head Siaosi Otto-Iona as weighing in at 135kg.

But that's nothing when compared with tight head Uini Atonio who is down as a giant 162kg. That's 357lbs or more than 25 stones. Hooker Steven Savali is a svelte 90kg.

Size isn't everything, though. Moon, a trim 108kg, is more concerned about the overall picture.

I regularly bench 130kg, 2 sets of 4 reps unassisted... But I run 100m in about 14 seconds, don't do power clean or dead lift cause they scary exercises...

why not deadlift sandman, the power once you get the technique down is really amazing

I can do a 130kg benchpress easy, but my 100m time you'll have to measure with a calender :D

It's the technique part that scares me. I have a lower back problem as it is, deadlift is a ticket to weeks of traction for me if I get it wrong. Done deadlift before and it was intense and exhausting...

Ok...for me his speed is amazing at that size! The rest...well for someone who is an athlete and this is all he does is well...not all that impressive tbh.

Lol...and because most people forget that they have a lower body and that the majority of your "power" comes from your back and legs.
Your back can only benefit from deadlifts. Start light and do reps but place the weight on the ground after every lift and concentrate on your form while lifting. I also have back problems and the only way that they have become less severe is by doing deadlifts :)

Because as people tire they tend to let their form slip and thats when you get injured. Deadlifts and form go hand in hand.

Sorry for the OT.

Remember when he was so 'gravely ill'? There are rumours about what was really going on...anyone know about this? 'roids and all?

I doubt it.

I am sure he has been tested, well if I was to suspect anyone he would be one of the top candidates and im sure the doping commision feels the same way thus im sure they tested him.

It's all just rumours anyway. I've heard one guy say it was a coke habit, and then a few (actually involved in rugby) say it was juice. So he was off for as long as it takes for the roids to be untraceable in his system. :erm: Just what I heard, no proof!
