This is what latency looks like in business hours (and what it used to look like after hours too)

Hi,

I also stay in Pierre van Ryneveld.
My connection has recently been giving me the same issues as mentioned above.

I'm also on Afrihost 4mbps line, and every night from 6PM to midnight my ping to the exchange is over 1000.
Download speeds average to about 0.6 upload, 0.4 download.

After midnight everything is 100% again.

I've recently read that it's the Eldoraigne Exchane giving the problems?

Does anyone have an update on this?

Regards

I have to say that I haven't experienced any issue for the last 2 months.

I would guess that the problems are because of an over/full subscribed DSLAM rather than back-haul congestion?

Thanks for the reply.

I suppose the DSLAM could also be the problem.
Just really hope this gets fixed soon.

As a gamer, the last thing I need is terrible ping.
