8GB of RAM is the only specs we get out of this... And that's been in my PC since PS3 was released... why all the fuss?
Sony claims PS4 is not about the specs anymore but expanding multiplayer/social gaming aspect. What the video on youtube where they review that First Person Driving Game.
So they are going the Nintendo route then...

The one thing people tend to forget is that consoles are dedicated gaming machines. i.e. they are not like PC's with resource hungry api's (which have to cater for an infinite number of hardware combinations).
You can get MUCH more raw processing power from a console than a similarly specced PC.
The PS3 launched with a very powerful processor but in terms of memory was left a bit wanting. Now it looks like the PS4 is launching with better than expected specs in general.
This is a very good thing! Expect to see some jaw dropping stuff in the future.

This same debate happens around every 5 years. If they didn't get it last time, or the time before that, they won't get it now.

LOL, the ps3 is coming from 512mb of SHARED (system and gpu) ram to 8gb and your telling us its underwhelming?
Plus this will be great for PC gaming. Finally developers can create games that will take advantage of modern hardware.
The PS4 is looking more like a phone than a dedicated gaming machine. Social, video sharing, "take it with you". It even has the iphone white screen interview videos from apple. I bet you there is a way to sign in with facebook or twitter... prob even a trophy to link your accounts.
