PlayStation 4 console officially announced

reliability is another factor not mentioned yet...
Going to be crucial that people are confident in the product, considering the money they will be spending...
will they have to replace the console a year later...?

Lets hope they get it right first time...
I will not be investing until they either give a longer guarantee or other buyers confirm the reliability.

Looking at the PS3's history there should be no issue as heat should be less of a problem in the next gen consoles. Maybe read up and understand the reasons behind RROD and YLOD ;)

Eina, somewhere out there is a massive group of developers who spent a ton of time and emotional investment into learning how to push the Cell architecture its limits..... now it's all changing. Right?
If true then Microsoft was right all the time....
The only thing Microsoft got "right" was the ability to lie and con millions of consumers. :D

My brother said the same thing about his PS3 ... A few days before he got YLOD.

What's worse, is he had to buy a whole new console. At least I got an XBox replacement after RROD

Well, one of my friends had to have his Xbox replaced 5 times over the same period of time I replaced my PS3 once in. And I only replaced it because some moron did not know how to fix it.

Well I bought an xbox on release day, it RROD'd a year later and they replaced it, has worked ever since.

The early xbox models were buggy but they sorted it out.

A PS3 just looks the perfect fit next to any high end AV receiver in your living room, while a xbox looks like a doorstop.

Yuk to xbox!
