I want to start learning PLC programming using ladder logic. So far I've just been reading a few websites, watching examples on YT, and doing a few tutorials on the plcfiddle website. I've gone through the the basics on the plcfiddle code school such as Boolean expressions, timers, counters, and mathematical expressions; but it was a very basic intro.
If anyone here does PLC programming, can I get some advice on how I can proceed? Im not doing it for any specific reason. I just want to expand my knowledge and I find process automation very interesting. I see Udemy have a lot of courses. Once I get a bit more acquainted with the topic I am looking a doing this course.
Also, can anyone recommend a free software for PLC Programming. I found one called Do-more designer but its not very stable for some reason. Every time I try to simulate a project, the software either freezes/ loses connection to the PLC simulation/ or gives timeout errors. Its a minor inconvenience but its annoying to restart every time that happens
