Please do a MyBroadband speed test on Rain

Rain Mobile in Jamestown, Stellenbosch:

Using MyBroadband Speed Test
Ping: 50ms
Download: 14.51Mbps
Upload: 7.30Mbps

Using Ookla Speed Test
Ping: 65ms
Download: 22.4Mbps
Upload: 17.2Mbps

Took my new RAIN mobile SIM on a speedtest ride home yesterday. Good coverage although I did loose connection in the pine plantation between test 4 and 5. Rode from Techno park on the right to Cloetesville on the left. I'll see if the same happens today because my Vodacom SIM had full coverage all the way.

Guess it was just a glitch yesterday, performance on the Eden forest MTB trail today was excellent.

I'm glad you ask,.

These I get from using the My Broadband Speedtest app, then hitting the Export button, I open the CSV in Excell then open Google Earth. You copy the lat and lon into the search, then change the result to a thumbtack and rename it to the upload/download/latency. When you are done get a good vantage point on the map and take a snap! Bam! Speedtest visualisation done.

Plumstead LTE fixed

Ping 384ms
Download 1.07 Mbps
Upload 0.04 Mbps

Once or twice it has exceeded 8 Mbps, but is generally unuseable

The is huge difference between mobile and fixed in this case Mahikeng don't have coverage of Rain Mobile but just Fixed lte coverage

On 1800MHz I get below 5Mbps, but forcing it to 2600MHz I get this :unsure:

Ping: 53ms
Download: 40.79Mbps
Upload: 2.85Mbps
