Nah, this seems highly improbable. I don't know one happy customer with rain. They've all either left or are in the process of leaving. Im leaving too, they don't have stable connections or fix problems or even deduct payment on the day you've agreed upon. This must be fake. I don't believe this is real

Give them 24 hours they are taking you for a fool. They throttle connection speeds and lie on their own speedchecks. The fastest speeds i get are when im on the phone with them. They are stringing you along and taking your cash.

Do note the package you are on does offer speeds of up to 10 Mbps so speeds will vary between 1 Mbps up to 10 Mbps

If they say 10 it means 1. I hate this company at this point. Im supposed to get 75 and i get 18 down if im lucky with dips that drop to 0. Upload is abysmal to the point where whatsapp calls aren't pleasant.

You unlucky then, maybe bad coverage. The issues I have had, I have most times, managed to match after the fact to media companies, playing silly buggers, in the name of fighting piracy, with internet routing. Some I cannot explain. But also, for some reason, I have manged to get my issues resolved fairly speedily.
 
You will realise in time what is happening. There is a reason they are labelled as the worst ISP in south africa by most independent analysts.

Well, I have done fairly well with them the last few years, better than Supersonic Fixed LTE-A, at least.

Please look up Stockholm syndrome. You keep going to dogwater ISP's. Next time you praise the rain, please include that you also used the other worst company in the country and you've never had good internet

This must be misinformation. I don't personally believe this. My ping is rarely under 200 and hovers around 500. My download peaks and valleys, the valleys are 0Mbps. The peaks are at 18Mbps and im paying for muuch faster speeds. I can't believe this isn't a planted post. I've never had service delivery from rain.

Some places that is all the choice you got, and if you had better choices, then you would not have to give up RAIN at month end.
 
I got rain as it was the only month to month available at the time. There are options now. Please excuse my earlier rudeness i apologise it was uncalled for.
 
If people posted about speed only without specifying their location you would be fine. Think rain is researching who get stable results then 2 months later mess up with your network tower area I think their AI know how to do this!

rain 5G is da bomb! 4G is still chalked in our area but that's because of old copper lines. Fibre has been introduced but 5G is ripping. I set a record in my neighbourhood and I am very thankful for rain for making this possible in my area.

Rarely have downtime unless affected by power outages beyond loadshedding and when tower batteries are stolen but since switching to 5G have had at least 90% uptime.

I've grown so used to the freedom of not worrying about data bundles and now very high-speed internet I really hope this lasts forever and only gets better.

I want to only use rain even for my mobile sim needs and I don't need calls either but that option is now available.

Congestion remains a problem for some areas, unfortunately.

rain is the best. no other provider compares value/price easy of signing up and managing your account and uncapped you can carry around.


Over 5 years and there is no competitor.

I don't think rain wants to deliver a congested product but they are just that popular and affordable.

Imagine if joburg had water and everyone was thirsty at the same time.
