Been with MWEB for ages (since dial-up days). Always had good service and with fibre have had no problems. With the "free" upgrade to 10/5 from 10/2 I will be even more happy.
 
Helping my good "older" friend trying to sort out his line and he is a new customer there support is shocking to say the least, I will never complain about my ISP again.
 
Mweb service is terrible.
Contacting aliens in another galaxy is easier.
After typing in account numbers and codes you will wait and listen to messages (lies) for hours, about service during covid. Then you will have to give DNA evidence as to who you are. You have the cell phone that the send codes to, you have the account number but you have to resupply that all again.
Then you are told that they don't know about your upgrade request, after they sent and charged for a new router.
Just a little better service to a customer will be nice. Or a phone answering service to tell you to fk off. At least you won't waste your time.
My clients think I am incompetent because of mwebs service. If I lose my client I will sue mweb for loss of income.
I am now embarking on a social media campaign to let people know about mweb.
 
You should rather campaign to raise awareness of Mweb's much more competent competitors.
True to that Sir, i had a few issues with my ISP and it took the few "can i speak to your managers calls" but geez they always answer the phone with in 5min and reply to my mails, so yea i think i am more blessed that i thought after having to deal with Mweb
 
PLEASE READ BEFORE SIGNING UP WITH MWEB IN 2021.

This survey should be revived to make people aware of the level of customer service from MWEB in 2021.

They have a similar set up to RAIN. No offices and all staff work remotely from home, which means no sincere customer care. They just keep transferring the calls to make it look like they are doing their jobs.

The charge for dialing their 087 number is a premium rated call and you normally hold for 30mins before your call is answered. On average your call to them will cost you approx R20.00. The service level agreement states in paragraph 4.2 that all calls will be attended to in 3 minutes. It almost seems like their aim is to frustrate you. The customer service staff will never call you back. They will cut or disconnect your call at their discretion and you will spend another R20.00 calling them back until you are so frustrated that you will want to cancel your service.

Service levels at MWEB is at its lowest.

If you are planning on signing up, please take the time to read Hello Peter complaints over the last week and see how they are mounting. All complaints are related to service.

If MWEB does not pay attention to their service levels they will certainly end up like RAIN.
 
I have been an Mweb subscriber for over 20 years going back to the days of dialup. When I joined I felt that they were the best ISP in SA. However over the years they have slipped and I would rate Cool Ideas, Afrihost & SuperSonic all ahead of them. I have moved my home & most of my business connections to other providers mainly because I find Mweb’s prices high & their support rubbish. Last month I waited over 45 mins on hold. I only now have 1 account with Mweb & only because my primary personal email address is with them. If I could find a way to port my email address to someone else, I would not hesitate to close my account with Mweb.
