Great service and speed through Mweb 1mbit ASDL line speed. Access to international websites are also great. Gaming works great! I have had less luck using VOIP services with MWeb compared to Telkom, but the only point I can fault them on so far.

I have had great performance ever since i started using a mweb 4 meg business account, but recently i have been getting random disconnects - don't know if it is my local exchange or mweb but further i have had no problems.

I am very frustrated with MWEB
I have 1Mb uncapped - but I get a wide variety of speeds - from 180k to 800k. Average about 600k. But often so slow that I cannot work.
For the last week I keep finding that pages will not load - I keep getting told my server connection is too slow and the page will not load. The following message I have had trying to get onto this forum - took about 10 tries before I could load this page - I hope my reply will load!
The following is the error message when I tried to load this page:

This web page is not available
Google Chrome could not load the web page because mybroadband.co.za took too long to respond. The website may be down or you may be experiencing issues with your Internet connection.
Here are some suggestions:
Reload this web page later.
Check your Internet connection. Reboot any routers, modems or other network devices that you may be using.
Add Google Chrome as a permitted programme in your firewall or antivirus software's settings. If it is already a permitted programme, try deleting it from the list of permitted programmes and adding it again.
If you use a proxy server, check your proxy settings or contact your network administrator to make sure that the proxy server is working. If you don't believe you should be using a proxy server, adjust your proxy settings: Go to the spanner menu > Options > Under the Bonnet > Change proxy settings... > LAN Settings and deselect the "Use a proxy server for your LAN" checkbox.
Error 7 (net::ERR_TIMED_OUT): The operation timed out.

Very good service. I haven't had any major problems with them. One or two hiccups along the way but they always get sorted out when I enquire. Full line speeds as expected.

Performance - Good
Support - a lot of my customers use MWEB. I cringe when I have to call in. I know that I am in for a 20 minute wait before the call is answered and when it comes to more technical issues the call is going to take time time to resolve, as well as having to explain the issue to multiple people. Does get resolved though if you have the energy to chase it with them.
Value for money - Reasonable pricing
Overall satisfaction - Average

On 4meg uncapped using an 8meg line and speedtest shows around 5/6meg....

Great stuff from Mweb. Would recommend them any day.

I have the 1 Mpbs service and overall quality is excellent. I have not had any issues that required technical support.

I am quite happy with my MWEB Internet. I really enjoy it and I have no speed and latency issues! I will stay with MWEB for a long time. :)

Speed and value for money (384 uncapped) are good.
Support is not great:
A couple of weeks ago internet access was abysmally slow. I called technical support & spent a couple of hours on the phone following all sorts of troubleshooting instructions to no avail. It turned out that there was some telscum problem affecting the whole suburb (Parkview, Jo.burg), which lasted 3 days....

Type: 1024K Uncapped Shaped Account.

Price: Average compare to others, but it comes with 300min free WIFI can use at hotspot every month.

Speed: Downloading average 80~110K. (Not P2P)

Latency: I lag a little in non-local MMORPG, but not as bad as 384K.

Overall: Good product, Affordable pricing, Free WIFI at hotspot.

The last couple of months have been especially awesome. I have been with them since they launched uncapped.

No question MWEB has come in leaps and bounds in the last while. Things were a bit shaky regarding over-contention [too many people not enough pipe] but that seems to have been fixed and things are going swimmingly. I just wish MWEB had an easier sign up process, throws all their fax machines away considering its the 21st century, and had a reseller programme that was easier to decipher so i could get something back for all the people I have signed up.

Mweb 4Mb is Awesome We just need Telkom to provide free analog rental with 4MB adsl rental.
Then we will see a killer uptake in ADSL
