Value for money is good

BUT:
* If you ever need to speak to a human is queue in a store until you drop or hold on, and on, and on, and on
* Admin
- try and get an address changed - it's impossible!
- Try and get your bill emailed to you - they'd much rather chop down forests and waste time, money and fuel mailing a physical bill

If they could get the admin / online tools right then the queues wouldn't be needed and their rating would go up

Got two 4g dongles with 10gb a month at R135each on a special. Pretty good value I think. Setting up was a pain, but after that, no problems for 2 years

I really want to recommend Telkom but at this point in time I find it very difficult to do so. Starting from last year (around October), our 4 meg ADSL line would die (seemingly out of nowhere) for a week or 2 weeks at a time. After reporting it, it would come back for around a day or so and then die again. This continued for a good 3 or 4 months. The only way around it was for me to buy a second SIM card and then purchase data on that and hotspot to my PC if I needed to get any sort of work done or if I wanted to play a quick game of DOTA 2 or CS (the only saving grace really about this was that Telkom's Mo'Nice offerings have pretty cheap data packages available).
Prior to this period of net/no-net, we never had any issues with Telkom. This goes for everything from my parent's mailboxes to the ADSL to the phone line itself. I think I have had 1 issue with my line being down since the start of 2019. The two other gripes I have with Telkom are that firstly their fault reporting website is not updated frequently enough (I have a fault open with Telkom for my home ADSL line from the 16th of January even though the line is up and running perfectly fine) and the other issue being that on occasion (in the last week or so) I would get horrendous latency to servers that I usually get a good 32 or 36ms ping to. I have switched to different ADSL accounts to test and after doing so, my latency is absolutely flawless which leads me to believe that it has to be an issue on Telkom's side (we do have uncapped and I had reason to believe we had reached our FUP but we haven't even come close to it this month).

I have a Telkom Sim, Landline phone and 10mb adsl with uncapped internet from Telkom.

My adsl and internet just works, truth be told, i may have a problem with my line once a yr, but a phone call to Telkom fixes it within the day. My internet is up 99.99% of the time, 1% for loadshedding... i only stream content at home, movies, series, music and there is never a lag or buffer issue unless its on the other side, plus the price im paying for all of this is way cheaper than having my line and isp separate... i actually saved R300 bundling the whole deal with Telkom...

I'll give Telkom an A rating for service, all in all quiet satisfied with my product and service from them, if i have any issues, its resolved over the phone, glad i switched to them 2 years ago

Same as above. I am happy with their service and seldom experience down time unless they busy working on the cables, of which we get notified. I feel tho, some of their customer service consultants, do need extra training as they have no idea what they are talking about. But overall, the ones i did get to deal with were excellent in helping me. U know exactly when they reading from a script and when they actually using initiative and i appreciate that. I would def recommend Telkom. I have recently taken a phone contract with them as well and thus far...all good.

Fix the lines on time and fix their accounts. Waiting for 6 months and my account is still wrong. Don't lie to people.

When I have coverage my sim works great but then again coverage seems to be one of their biggest issues.

I have used Telkom since I moved into this house, almost 20 years ago. I cannot be bothered with all the 'special' offers for chopping and changing, for one thing. What irritates me is that if one is watching a film or series online after 7pm whatever you are watching goes to slow mo and buffers the whole time, so it chews your package [I have 40 Gb] as it can take 2 hours to watch a 45 minute episode of something for example. Also, there are times when i have not used my package for this but my Gb just mysteriously get used up, as if someone else is using them. Also, when you do use up your Gb you suddenly find everything goes down onto slowmo. I would rather they notified you, which they currently do with a warning that pops up, but tell you your package will now start costing you per Gb, not that I have got to try and get online to do something to get it. I never remember my password so can never get online! And also, given I no longer use my landline for a phone, the time it takes to speak to someone at Telkom., and then not be able to understand some of them. I am disabled too, and having to go to a branch to sort something out is basically an impossibility as there are always queues. Otherwise I don't suppose they are any better or worse than any of the other services. I have yet to have to cancel my service and I believe that is a horror story all on its own!

Telkom's support is pathetic - also does not help to use walk-in centres - they work on sales incentive sceme and no interest in support/ assistance.

Streaming on an uncapped 10Gb line at night is cumbersome

Telkom's ADSL rates are competitive. Very occasionally the telephone line is out of order. Then there is no internet service. The call centre takes a long time to answer, but fault logging with a cell phone is OK.
rate Telkom based on value-for-money, network quality, and general service satisfaction.

^^ This +1 .
Openserve FTTH Installation technician was great. No downtime but disconnection issues for 2 weeks afterwards when fibre speed upgrade subscription change caused ‘system issues’.

Oh, and our Telkom mailbox was wiped in the process. Address unchanged but mailbox was replaced blank, they couldn't retrieve it.

All good otherwise. Fibre service faultless for 18 mths since above.

I have previously done the survey at the end of a call and asked for the same thing access to a rep made readily available.

We are doing a forum survey on how happy subscribers are with their ISP, and it will be great if you can rate Telkom based on value-for-money, network quality, and general service satisfaction.

I have to rate Telkom as good, but the thing is, if I should encounter a problem, that will change to Pathetic.
I also refrain from complaning and hope the fault cures itself(things happen from time to time), because if you complain and your info is configured incorrectly by a gost, you are screwed.

I'm pretty satisfied with Telkom their speed and bundles are good and I feel like I'm getting good value for my money so good job, I always recommend Telkom to my friends and fam, have gotten some to port from other networks.

Telkom Generally good,
Major problem is in-constraint ADSL. Hardly a month goes by were we lose internet.
When running a business this is paramount. Then to top it all it take forever for them to get sorted.
Also if they go down for maintenance the user is not informed. So a person goes through a whole rigmarole to try find out what is wrong on only to find out system is being maintained.

Telkom recently raised my 4 Mb to 10 Mb speed, but since then my speed has slowed. I'm talking streaming onto my tv (you tube, property videos, even still photos) which nor buffers and sometimes freezes. Until the increase I was happy with Telkom, but if they don't sort out the reliability factor I will downgrade them to Average

I get what I paid for, I rate Telkom the ISP as good. My latency to Johannesburg and Cape Town from Amanzimtoti is good. I can play Fortnite on EU server with not a lot of lag. My ping to Fortnite EU sever is 190ms is fine. My ping to most server in Johannesburg is 39 to 55 ms.

the service is poor, wifi signal crashes all the time. can not even update to higher in my neighborhood?!
they limit the speed etc

Their Network works better than it her service providers where I am based, but resolving queries and billing g issues takes forever. They billed me last year for a line that was not working from 21 May 2018 until 3 November 2018. Till to-date the issue hasn't been resolved. I've escalated it to their management but still no feedback. I called them again today to be told that the system is not working.

Still waiting for the hardware from the deal I did
2018-05-10Enjoy your new Telkom service☺244493271AInternet_MainTIN1612171 I enjoy the line. but would also like the modem ect from the package!! Have phone the help line on numerous occasions !! still waiting

I agree. I left Mweb to go back to Telkom. Have had no issues. Just gets toggled a bit, but I can handle that.
