Pokemon Go!

Haven't played the game this whole weekend. Officially tapping out until the next update
I have also played very little. But that is because of the move.

I did level a gym to level 10 and the fiance and I both added to it. It feels kinda good

I just hit 20 and so the game has started getting good, getting lots exciting finds in the wild and 10k eggs etc.... so still exciting for now.

I can see it getting old soon though unless they add some new stuff.

have you guys seen the update to the bubblestrat?

I tried a basic version of that this morning.
now I know its not rocket science to do this but I have never actually been in a position to have something weaker than a magicarp. because I just instantly transfer things.

well this weekend I caught a CP 90 Haunter and a CP 112 Oddish.
I took down the gym at work
put my CP 177 Magicarp in and immidiately faught it wiht the haunter. 1000 prestiege.
fight with the Oddish. 622 prestiege.
go with haunter again

one smoke later the gym is on 8000. and there is only one pokemon in it.

now this is by no means an easy out. but if you have 3 or 4 people with you, all fighting the carp, and all adding good pokemon as the gym levels, you can get the gym to level 10 in about 5 mins.

and this is the worst way to do this. getting the right low level pokemon you can do this all wihout even using a potion or a revive. (I missed a few dodges of the struggle so I had to use a potion on my haunter a few times.

It will take forever to reach level 30 but even though the level cap is 40 once you reach 30 you're pretty much at your full potential.

Eggs are capped at level 20 and wild Pokemon are capped at level 30.

Ye, but I'm not worried about that because there seems to be no point in leveling now for that exact reason.

The only thing is bragging rights.

At this point I only really want to get to level 25 to unlock Max Potions. I haven't played since last week, the new update should get me playing again because then I can actually get candies to evolve Pokemon I never see anymore.

Oh yes, definitely. Going to get a new pair of running shoes in preparation. I have done 100km so far with the game and have my technique down now.

I am aiming for level 30.

max potions is cute and all, but its basically the same as hyperpotions. there is almost no difference when using them. I ma yet to find a pokemon I do not heal full with a hyper.

level 30 gives max revive. this is the real deal. BAM from dead to back at full strenth. that is the point where you keep a few hyper potions, a few regular potions and tons of max revives and delete the rest to make space.
let me explain the logic.
traning a gym to add a pokemon to it when its not yours you need potions (not even super potions if you are doing it right.
taking down a gym from another team you need hyper potions OR max revives.
loosing a gym you need MAX revive.

so what do you need max potions for? that 300CP dragonite that does not ever show up in SA for us to catch (saw one this weekend, it ran after 11 ultra balls and 46 greatballs and TONS of rasberries, still salty)

hyperpotion and max revive is all you need.

I for sure would rather have Max Revive but I'm being realistic here, I'm getting Max Potion way before I get Max Revive.

I still agree with what other people said when you get to a certain level Potions shouldn't be dropped anymore, once you get level 25 you should only get Super, Hyper and Max.

Check out GoRater in the Google play store to calculate iv's. It is from the same guy who developed GoStats and gives accurate info.
It uses the comments made by the team leader in the appraisal to narrow down results.

meh the appraisal system is fine for me.

all I need is that first line.

but I do have a 100% perfect IV ghastly ( CP 610, powered up once to confirm it was 100% with sifroad) and 103 candies....

every now and again I go appraise it to remind myself what I want the first line to be...
