I had no revives/potions left after taking out the gym and Blissey was the only pokemon I could put in that had a chance of staying up longer than 10 seconds... It's only 2400cp though so it's not that hard to down, just a bit of a deterrent.

The lvl 10 gym outside my work has two of the buggers, going to be tough to take it down solo, But I will prevail!

Really need to farm pokestops!

is anyone here still having issues with taking down blissy?

TrainerTips did a fantastic video on taking out a blissy.

turns out, Rhydon/Golem is the best options for both time and potions.

Saw the video you are referring too, but sort of figured it out on my own. I've had pretty decent luck with my vaporeon watergun/hydropump combo against blisseys with pound/hyperbeam, so also worth a try. What i really find interesting is that no one tried the type advantage yet ie poison/steel on blissey, will do that myself when i can power up one enough or perhaps its because most of the type mons with type advantage suck....we'll see

Anyone else noticing an increase in 10km eggs from stops?

I've had 3 in the last month or so - hardly ever used to get any...

Yep. Hatched two Dratini's in a row. But I still have yet to get an evolution item.

@systemofpurplelimpminion Blissy is normal type, not Fairy. so only Fighting stands a chance.
unfortunately Fighting is weak to Psychic. so if it is not pound hyperbeam. you have to dodge.

Machamp is the best to prestiege against a blissy, and taking one down you just use your highest attacker.

I have had the best luck wiht a 2600 Gangar wiht Shadowclaw shadowball. only dodging the hyperbeam. again, weak to psycic, so watch out for the zen headbutt one.

with regards to 10K eggs, I had a spree of good luck. I got one 10K for every group of 5K that I hatched. until I got to the current 7 I have. been getting 2 and 5 since then, and I try and keep all my 10K to hatch at the same time.

maybe in a week or so I will be up to 9 10K eggs again.

Now Snorlax or Lapras for me yet.

Hatched a Lavitar - which was decent because it was something new.

Evee hatching out of 5km eggs is also nice (Although I'm not too sure how recent this change is).

I picked up quite a bit of spoofing recently. A while back my SO and I were taking a gym, at a park with no one else on sight. There were 3 people battling the gym and when it was defeated team instinct (we are mystic) placed a Pokémon on the gym. I didn't pay much attention, and when we went to the next gym the previous gym we had taken was down. I was upset but just left it and it's actually killed the game for me.

Last night we decide to go on a gym run as we wanted incubators. When we got to Goodwood swimming pools, which is closed as this was around 20h30, you can only access this gym if you park in front or are inside. Team instinct held the gym, there were 3 defenders and it was level 8. We start fighting and they are adding prestige at the same time. All of a sudden, 3 blisseys and a snorlax get added with no one in sight and they continue adding prestige.
I left and claimed what I had.
This morning I wake up and all the gyms around me are team instinct with more or less the same people. So I reported the names I could remember from the gym last night, I cannot see it from my house.
The following users are spoofing and were reported:
Iggieshaan
AyeshaMia
FaderZA
Pok3mAsTeR25
BAYBOY4LIFE
IsiSam911
matt123k
wolfwiz
Markaise

I don't mind if someone cheats as long as they are not inconveniencing others. Go spin pokestops and catch your Pokémon wherever you need to, but then stay off the gyms.
I spent a lot of time and fuel driving to these places to get knocked off by a group of people sitting on their couch /rant over

I have said it before and I will say it again.

cheating in any way, spoofing included, should have a permanent ban, including a device ID based ban attatched to it.

you spoofed, and only ever hit pokestops? BS I cannot believe that at all.

as un fun as spoofing makes the game for other people, there is also the fact that spoofing makes the game un fun for the people doing it.

Those people are spoofing now, but in a few weeks when the gen 2 hype is dead and gone they wont log in to claim anymore.

the other annoying thing is the people with two high level acounts from different teams.

there are a few people in my area who do this. I take the time, get the gym to level 10 the wife and I add. I sit at position 7 or 8, she sits at the bottom, because the lowest mon in the gym is a 2800 CP Rhydon.

three days later, suddenly the wife is out of the gym and there are 3 new people at the bottom, and the lowest mon is now a 1900.
a few days later that changes again and the creep begins. after a few weeks, I am at the bottom...

Turns out that even a 2500cp Blissey can be entertaining. It's been sitting as the sole defender of a level 1 gym with 1300 odd prestige for 7 hours. Even watched someone attack it for 20 minutes without effect - funniest thing ever.

now imagine that other person was a team mate who wanted to add to the gym...

True that, wish I could say it's only the other team....but i've seen spoofing on all sides. Honestly it does ruin the game and makes one want to no partake in the gym battling, mate of mine has already 'given up' on some of the gyms getting spoofed a lot. But i'm fighting the good fight in the hopes that it annoys them so much that they look for easier targets

I started noticing that also, actually do not what is more annoying spoofers or people with dual accounts making spots for whom they designate as "worthy" (ie their mates)

http://pokemongolive.com/en/post/waterfestival2017

Trainers,

Get ready to make some waves in Pokémon GO! There’s a global Water Festival in progress, and Magikarp, Squirtle, Totodile, and friends are looking forward to celebrating with you! Starting today at 1 P.M. PDT, you’ll be more likely to encounter Magikarp, Squirtle, Totodile, and their evolutions all around the world. Additionally, when you’re out exploring areas where Water-type Pokémon more commonly appear, you’ll have a greater chance to encounter several of the Water-type Pokémon originally discovered in the Johto region, and maybe... you might even encounter Lapras.

Also, starting later today, you’ll notice a new avatar wardrobe item—the Magikarp Hat!

The Pokémon GO Water Festival is a limited-time celebration and will come to an end on March 29, 2017, at 1 P.M. PDT, so get outside and GO catch some Water-type Pokémon!

translates to 10PM tonight

I do train it up so that there are open spots, most of the time.

I honestly keep all 3 my blissies.

nothing better than taking down a level 10 gym and only needing to use 3 max revivie.

noramally my team is 3 vape 3 blissy.
or depending on the number of Gyrados in the gym some Jolts.

but Blissy does the heavy lifting. dragonite? no problem. Snorlax? lol. other Blissy? I attack faster...
