The long and the short of it is you keep the pokemon with an iv of 99 % and chuck the ones with 1%

In a perfect world where you get too many catches you only evolve a pokemon that has IV's of 90%, those are the ones that will have massive amounts of CP when you power them up.
This is why people say don't waste stardust early on in the game, only use it on high IV Pokemon.

bingo.

and that is why I can pick and choose my Growlithe's
I have calculated the IV of my pokemon manually using a spreadsheet. it involves powering up a pokemon until the dust requires changes then feeding the values into an excel spreadsheet I found on that chanel.

then he posted a way to set up a packet sniffer at home to get the exact IV's. I used that until v 0.30 came along when Niantic stopped that method.
then I used the pokeadvisor website, but as of today that no longer works.
so its back to the spreadsheet and dust and candy wasting method.

so from now on if a growlithe was caught in a lure or in an incence it gets transfered, hatched from an egg I evolve it, and if I catch one in the wild normally it needs to be over 800 CP for me not to immidiately transfer it.

I have an 828 that I do not know its CP ready to evolve, but I only have 52 candies....

I have 249/250 Pokemon.

Only one I don't have is a Zubat. Anyone know where I can find one? ;)

how much data does this game even use up? must cost a fortune in data bundles

do all you guys play on wifi? how does that work with these creatures hiding around everywhere...

I have used in total while not on wifi just under 1GB. considering I have the app open around 14 hours a day 7 days a week (today I am actually trying to get work done so the app is closed when not smoking)
data usage is really not that heavy.

battery usage is more of a concern. I have a 20 000Mah powerbank that I charge every night when I go to bed, that means I charge my phone 7 times a day off the power bank. roughly that is.

Nope. Not much at all.

Once you have the map data then there is very little other data it needs.

Just checked and used 165 meg for the entire month last month and I played pretty much every day.

decent link. but it has the same problem as the spreadsheet, you need to use candy to find the exact IV....

Had one running for about 8 hours last week, got to lvl 16. Now it's Soft banned though.
Wasn't all that complicated to set up.
Do you have to compile it yourself or is it a 'download and run' .exe?

I didn't see it mentioned unless I missed it but if you spin 10 unique stops in 30 minutes you get a XP bonus, 6+ items and a egg if you have space for it.

I was always under the impression that it was just a random pokestop that is really good for you. then I saw the guy on trainer tips mention it.

the only single location that I know of where you can achieve this is with a lot of effort at flora farm. there are more than 10 pokestops but to make sure you get 10 unique ones you have to walk back to the beginning and hit them all again.

Irene mall is only 9 pokestops, Emperors palace the gps signal is just too unriliable to get the stops inside the building unless you are on their wifi.

If I leave Sasolburg the exit has a fountain that is a stop and then Emerald casino has 9 stops. The casino seems to be the main hunting ground with lures a lot of the time, 9 stops, 1 gym and most of the time along the way you can get one stop to spin before you get there.

That is where I got my Rapidash the other day.

This is of no use to me as my phone is Android but for the iPhone users that might have jailbroken phones, if you install the tweak, Poke Go ++, it shows you all of your Pokemons IV in game and it has a working Pokevision esque map that shows you when Pokemon spawn near you.

This tweak started as a way to fake your location but has since evolved and you can turn of all the cheating stuff and just use the map and IV list.
