Yeah - the amount of XP one needs to level gets crazy very quickly...

I really wish you got extra XP for catching higher CP pokemon - or something to make levelling less of a mission.
It may sound weird but I like it.

Based on how hard I work for this and how long it takes I can say that anyone over level 33 must be cheating. Either GPS spoofing or some form of a bot.

Level 33 is the top point of the xp you can have gotten since release. If you spent money on lucky eggs, and incubators, and almost permanently had a lucky egg going and fight gyms all the time you can be 33. Anything higher and you are cheating imho

Just for curiosity's sake, is anyone here able to get a bot working? Is it complicated? I tried Googling but all I could find was bots you have to compile yourself, something I don't know how to do...
Had one running for about 8 hours last week, got to lvl 16. Now it's Soft banned though.
Wasn't all that complicated to set up.

Where is the best place to find pokemon with lures down? I've tried Monte, Rosebank, and Brightwater. Looking for some new places to try out. Any suggestions?

I dont ignore pokemon, but I have 3 things that break that rule.

Zubat: I do not even try. 50 candy to evolve means you need to catch 13 to evolve. on average a Zubat takes 4 balls to catch. so that is 52 balls to get 2300 odd XP. not worth it.

Pincir: I have 9 above 1200CP. I am good seriously, stop giving me Gym prestiege adders!

Ekans: again 50 to evolve, sure they catch easier than zubat but the equasion stays the same, nets out to about 26 to 24 balls for 2300 odd XP. not worth it.

the next pokemon I am going to stop catching is Grolithe. some people may be freaking out at this, but I have 5 Arcanine, all above 1600CP. all with the best move set (firefang and Firebalst) and all with IV's above 80% I work on a growlithe spawn so I got to be quite picky. I have transfered a 2000CP arcanine with a 90% IV score because it had bite and Eathquake. let that sink in for a second...

If I'm around stops and balls are in plentiful supply I'll catch anything and everything.

Away from stops any Zubat > 100 cp I leave alone - and anything else I'll try and get with a few balls and then give up - unless it's a pokemon I don't often see in which case I'll try all I can to catch the bugger.

Would love to know where you work for that spawn...

I work in centurion. basically the corner of Jean and Lenchin.

there are also a lot of growlithes that spawn at Irene mall where I stop before and after work.

at home I have growlithes that spawn one block down from my house. that and Excecute, that is why I have 2 Executor with 1300+CP and 80% IV's they dont have the perfect move set though, they both have confusion and Psycic, so I leave tehm to defend gyms as they are better at defending than attacking.

Irene Mall is also where I find Evee and Vulpix
