Pokemon Go!

at level 4 - got:
Clefairy
Poliwag
Zubat
Weedle
Rattata
Doduo
Bellsprout
Pidgey
Eevee
Charmander
 
I am currently sitting at level 8.

I have two gyms, and at work I have a pokestop close enought that I can pick up pokeballs when I go have a smoke.

tonight I am going to get the Fiance to level 5.

then I will take down a gym, and put my weakest pokemon in it. then let her take the gym. then I will take it back wiht my lowest pokemon. and rince and repeat until we have two strong pokemon gaurding it. so the gym is a nice and high level.

I will leave the other two gyms that I have currently to just farm gold for me. the one is a church that will most likely stay mine until next week sunday...

I have most of the pokemon I want the most, my personal favourites, but I NEED to find a ghastly. that is my favourite one. I might go to the kempton park hospital to see if there is one there. and to the power startion to see what is there....

Are Pokestops common? And did you finds yours by chance?
 
pokestops are kinda common.

I found mine by chance because I had the ap open while the SO was driving. then my brother and I went on a mission to find some.
I found most churches and community centers are either a gym or a pokestop. then your other landmarks like random statues or sculptures or big supermarket sighns (in my area at least) are either a gym or a pokestop.

best bet is keep the app open and zoom out, have a look around you, I am sure you will find something.

just got another weedle at work. I captured it and transferred to the professor.

is there any benefit to transferring the pokemon to the prof?
 
yes you get extra candy of the type for that pokemon. you use the candy to power up your pokemon or to evolve them

You get 1 candy for that pokemon (used for levelling and evolution)
 
is there any way to level up beside catching pokemon?

I'm on level 4 - is the only way to earn XP by capturing pokemon?
 
so I have had so many dodeo that I have more than 50 Candy for it. and my highest level one is like 180 CP.

I have also caught a doDrio but its CP 25

so should I evolve my dio into a drio or is it not worth it? is it better to just keep the candy for something else?

AFAIK you also get xp when you hold a gym for more than 24 hours as well as gold. but that does not help you right now seeing as you are level 4

the game is made by the same people and based on the same principles. so its only logical that the pokestops and gyms are the same as portals in ingress
