again I totally agree with what you are saying, but unfortunately your legit work has lead to others being able to easily write a bot.
with regards to level 30 being a cheater:
considering the amount of hard work I have put in.
I am level 26.
I have spent real money on the game to buy incubators and lucky eggs.
the app has me as walked 211KM.
187 eggs hatched.
322 pokemon evolved.
4132 pokestops visited.
2277 pokemon captured.
all of that is legit, me walking around and doing those things.
getting to level 30 is achievable, provided you work on a hotspot. with lots of pokestops and lots of pokemon spawning, put in a lot of hours outside of work, and spend real money to hatch eggs and evolve those pidgey's with a lucky egg running.

Good lawd, now I know I don't take this game seriously especially since I have had it around the launch date.
But no way am I buying stuff, I'd rather struggle through the levels unless someone gave me a Google voucher.
I used Ebucks to buy checkers vouchers and with that I bought google play vouchers for the Fiance and I. this was nearly a month ago.
it gave us the gap we needed to have 9 eggs incubated at a time, and then we started taking 100 gold a day from gyms.

Anyone use Chansey to defend or level up gyms?
I cannot attack gyms today!
I keep getting kicked out.
the one in the office here I have tried every hour when I smoke, best I have done is beaten everything once, then I get kicked out.
I have tried restarting app, restarting phone, nothing. I can get the pokestop next to it, but when fighting the gym I keep getting the battle 1 Go then boom back to the first screen with ERROR! at the top. WTF

I totally agree.. after i started evaluating my pokemon it began to suck a bit but not as much as the pokeball catch changes that screwed up the game. I've not played a lot since then as i keep running out of balls due to catchrate suckage of late.

Been happening from yesterday.
I have had it a few times, but normally an hour or two later I can take the gym.
this one in particular was red until 11AM last week because of this issue. but its nearly 2PM and I have still not been able to fight it more than once. other people have even added to it since I got in this morning...
A lot of my friends that also play get this quite often. It may just be a bug that Niantic hasn't patched around yet..
Or they did and there appeared 130 new bugs in it's place so they left it
finally managed to take it out.
the only thing I did different is go for my smoke 15 min earlier than normal.
was actually quite a tough battle. but only because when I got here it was a level 3 gym with 2 pokemon in it.
but when I managed to get in to fight it now it was a level 7 gym. I still took it down because Team Valour does not think.
do not put a bunch of pokemon wiht the same weakness in a gym guys. use your brain.
sure it took me ages to fight it, but I only used 2 pokemon the entire time.
Arcanine for the first few
Vaporeon for the next few.
eventually I only used my Vaporeon.
when there were 2 pokemon left in the gym I decided to try my golem just for laughs, and that really ripped though the gym.

There was always somebody in the Gym but this morning it just showed white and it was empty. So I just placed one of my pokemons there.

Be careful when you do that sometimes after the error the game goes into a endless spin. If you leave the game and try to go back in you can't for 15mins- 1 hour, I think it causes some error server side that tells the game you are logged in when you aren't.

BTW: This is a soft-ban. You can enter the gym and before the fight starts you get kicked out. They have started to lock down spoofing of gyms (not saying that you do). If you do not use true GPS (and rely on internet location services) you will bounce quite a lot. Perhaps it is karma getting back to you for wishing me not even Pidgeys and Zubats

I sometimes leave gyms like that so someone will go put something into it (hopefully not red) so I can beat it again and get more xp. I do it when I'm gonna be in an area for 30mins or on a pokestop loop to maximize xp gained in this time.
