Always been 4096/640 That is the WAN reading.

they upgraded the upload speeds at some point to 640k but you had to ask for it. i did so. then at some point they switched the profiles back to 512k. i suppose i could have called to ask to be set back to 640k.

I remember that you could ask for the upload to increase. Was a nice friendly telkom chap

2048/512 - might be able to go higher than 2048, but it was dropping constantly at 4096. If you could open a single page before it drops you were lucky :/

iirc correctly from my stats days, a sample size of over 32 qualifies as being statistically significant. if my memory holds true, then this can be used to say that it would seem most people who have the upto 4Mbps service sync at 4Mbps.

But there is probably some stat loophole I've forgotten.

Well you don't really count seeing as you should sync at 10Mb now, but at least you do get 4Mb.

4096/512 here. Sometimes my upload drops to 288 which is irritating but it'll always come back to 512 if you resync.

That's what I'm currently syncing at but I understand that the current assumption here is for people who are travelling on the G.Dmt operational mode and not ADSL2+.

I used to sync perfectly fine at 4096/512 till telkom decided to include my exchange in the 10meg trial. Now it drops constantly during the day but is fine at night.
