Would love the know the answer to this. If you have a 4Mbps line, do you sync at full speed? I wonder what the percentages are?

i seem to sync at full speed, but I hardly ever get full 4meg speed on my Mweb uncapped. it peaks sometimes at 400 / 500k ... sometimes, but the average is around 150kbs...
even HTTP feels throttled, pages don't respond all that much faster than my old 384k line!... Overall I'm content with what I have as its still faster!

ADSL Link Downstream Upstream
Connection Speed 4096 kbps 512 kbps
Line Attenuation 15 db 4.5 db
Noise Margin 17 db 14 db

Just tested on my Capped SAOL account (never use it, there only for emergencies) - Torrents are FLYING, so are the web pages!
*points finger at Mweb*

4092/503

Downloads are 400-420 95% of the time.

Unless it gets throttled by the site it self.

Losing sync constantly - just had my line transferred to my new premises today after waiting a MONTH
FFS
Sync an 4096 -but thats ok, just as long as I can work dammit Telkom !

Line Attenuation(Downstream) 8.0 dB

CRC Errors(Downstream) 0

Latency(Downstream) Fast

stable 4 meg line when telkom doesnt break stuff
still not sure why i have crc errors on upstream

I don't know that my SNR & line attenuation values are since I'm on business uncapped and thus don't have access to the CISCO router. All I know is that I just have 2Mbps down and 512kbps up - like boramk

I just wish Telkom had another DSLAM closer by.

I have allways stable connection 4096/512. I had something strange happening a few months back where every night at 10pm - 10:15pm where the connection drops for like a few seconds then reconnect, but it was for about 2 weeks every night exactly the same time.. Don't know what that was about, but it stopped after that.

i average at least 400kb/s during the day and 430 kb/s after hrs..

sometimes bursts to 500 kb/s for a minute then back down to 430-440

one time it went to 770 kb/s for 15 secs but went down again..the internet gods were blessing me..

mweb uncapped
