Flyhalf Handre Pollard kicked the Bulls to victory over the Sharks, scoring 12 points as the Pretoria-based side won 17-10 in Durban.
In a low-scoring affair at the 'Shark tank' it was the boot of Pollard that reigned supreme.
Francois Hougaard scored the opening try in the 35th minute for the Bulls and Marcelle Coetzee touched down just after the the start of the second period for the home side.
Fred Zeilinga converted Coetzee's try and slotted over a penalty, but it wasn't enough for the Sharks who continue to look like a team with very little to offer.
