Ag shame - men who haven't discovered True Love.
Any man - looking at porn - while in a relationship - has got a relationship problem - not a porn problem.
Ah, four wolves and a sheep deciding what's for dinner then? The voting public should decide the greater good
But there are people who are convinced that pornography leads directly to rape, among other heinous crimes. According their view of the world there'd be no child molestation, rape or even apparently serial killers if there was no pornography. Luckily for their worldview pornography is not going anywhere. If it was to disappear they'd have to start making up some other excuse for crimes. No doubt something else of which they disapprove. This in a society where kids are regularly murdered and raped due to the ineffectiveness of this government, their laws and their promotion of tribal sexual hacks in pursuit of a cure beyond garlic and potatoes - but lets employ lots of people to surf for internet porn.
Most people do not get addicted to their choices of entertainment.Healthy relationships with everyone should give one enough fulfillment and satisfaction to not want to get into any addictions.
How does that differ from a man (in a relationship) who gambles himself into bankruptcy?
Or a man (in a relationship) who drinks himself into liver failure?
Do the above also have "relationship problems"?
But actually, kilo39, funny I actually agree with you, now that I've posted the previous paragraph. Healthy relationships with everyone should give one enough fulfillment and satisfaction to not want to get into any addictions.
I havent found the right (or even halfway right girl) so leave my damn porn alone.
I don't have a problem with them implementing this if it relates to kiddie porn. But to crack down on adults from viewing adult porn is lame, everybody has a right to wank, or at the very least learn some new ideas and moves to practise with their lady friendNobody has a right to impose on another persons right to freedom.
..heheHere someone who knows their mindsuggesting they know what a healthy relationship is.

Do you think before you post???
okay i have read through this entire thread (actually i haven't)
and all i can say is there is NOTHING wrong with porn. erhm... except the porn with hairy dudes called bruno...
... Don't forget: 'South African Tsunami Protection Fund' AKA Government's shares in Telkom, Neotel and Sentech.Oh, so it is not a big we-must-control-everything-the-people-see-and-do authoritarian mentality? (usualy hidden behind screens like religion, threat-of-terrorism, to-protect-the-children)
This is a very noble goal. Every country should do it's utmost to protect children. This will also create some jobs so it's a positive thing. South Africa cannot control what gets hosted internationally so we should do whatever we can on the local front ... within reason."Content analysts will be employed to sit every day on the Internet and trace people who are putting this pornographic material out there, and especially to identify websites containing child abuse material... Our main objective is to protect children from harmful content."
This has a strong connotation of protecting the FPB's interests and not so much for the public's good. Government looking for more left-wing control?According to the law, the distribution of "adult material" that has not been classified and licensed by the Board is in contravention of Section 24 of the Film and Publications Act.
Now this is getting to the critical issue. Is the SAPS going to 'investigate' and 'charge' school kids that take photos / video clips on their cellphones and spread them via Bluetooth? Good luck to them if they even bother to try. News Articles of this very thing happening more frequently is what started a lot of the fuss around adult content in recent times. According to the article's definition, these kids are all 'distributors' so what can the law do to minors? Lock them up and fine the parents?"In view of a number of complaints from the public regarding the distribution and exhibition of materials containing depictions, descriptions or sequences of sexual conduct via the Internet, by mail order and through mobile cellular phones, the Board advises the SA Police Service to investigate and charge any person using [the] above-mentioned media for distribution of films, interactive computer games or publications, which have either not been classified by the Board or classified XX or X18,"
As far as 'films, interactive computer games or publications' goes ... there's very little locally produced stuff of this nature that I'm aware of. A lot, I imagine, would as legal / illegal imports and is a problem for Customs and Excise not the FPB ... unless the FPB is planning on building the "Great Censorship Wall of South Africa" and screen content from the rest of the world like China does."The minute you distribute pornographic material, you are called a distributor," said Makoela.
This is a blatant infringement on Freedom of Expression. Who is the FPB to decide it's illegal for people around the globe that want to share explicit images of themselves with like-minded individuals? Provided such content is provided via secure portals requiring Adult Verification, children should not be exposed and even those that posted incorrectly would be blocked if Content Filters are used. If this stance is taken seriously, the next step will be to make it illegal for Star Trek fans to dress up as aliens and post their images on the internet as well ... where does the line end?"In so far as posting sexual pictures of oneself on the Internet is concerned, the question that must be asked is whether or not the pictures are being posted so as to be made available to any person who wishes to access such pictures.
"If that is the case, then that would amount to distribution and that would be illegal.
THEN Remove the daily porn from DSTV and ETV and the children will be more protected FOOLS!"Content analysts will be employed to sit every day on the Internet and trace people who are putting this pornographic material out there, and especially to identify websites containing child abuse material... Parental guidance... he he
We do all we can, but have a hard time when the freedom of speechers use the media to force their pov down everyone's (including the kids) throats.
