Port Elizabeth

That's the way they stare at you, and sometimes thay make a few passes. They typically won't attack a scuba diver at that depth, which I gather from the lighting is about 25-40m, at least not in my own experience.

Summerstrand was always infested with students. I was one of them in the late nineties!
Not all, just Gomery avenue needs to be avoided. The Spar in Admiralty (at times). Otherwise they are quite tame.

No thanks I'm not interested in anything that has to do with water. For me, as long as its better than plk and on par with the gauteng townships and shisa nyamas, I'm game.
Then you'll be at home in Central. Always a buzz in the domain of the slumlords.

I start longing for a stage 5 6 lockdown when I think of the juiciest, most succulent Bathurst pineapples.

The fishing at Kei Mouth is also pretty good still, as long as one avoids the tourist student seasons.

I never forget my Teknikon days driving home to EL from PE on the coastal road lol. Pineapple thieves used to wait on the slow downhill area's of the road and jump onto the huge pineapple trucks and throw pineapples to their mates alongside the road.

Nothing has changed. They still stealing.

So in style u saying it's just a city. Just a basic city like plk. Nothing to really make u feel alive or have great fun
The most rural city in SA. Cows from the villagers in Walmer Township graze peacefully along the arterial roads, and often disrupt traffic despite the most irate complaints, the impotent municipality enforces nothing at all.
Donkey carts are seen every single day, particularly on the Uitehage routes. Don't be in a hurry when behind them, relax with some Mendelssohn. The drivers are usually polite, decent folk, if you greet them with a wave they may even take off their hats.

That was our cricket team. They were just doing some catching practice.

Im more focued on the city rather than the surrounds. I want to explore and see how it is. As long as its not the same as polokwane and has some activity going on. I know its not Durban or JHB but at least its own vibe nyana
Yes, you will experience many cultures and practices in PE Central that are nowhere near the boring life in Pietersburg (I personally stayed there for extended periods on many occasions, so I know ). There is an open port onto the sea, many opportunities to meet many different cultures, far more than Polokwane (which is actually hugely boring by comparison).
The vibe is what you make it. You will have a great time (especially if you don't tell people that you are from Polokwane).

That's a kak road that, very dangerous in parts. The trucks slow down, ostensibly due to the conditions, but we all know it's actually for the looters.

Neither are as good as they use to be unfortunately

*Quote fail. Talking about Friesland milkshakes and Shamrock Pies

The shisanyamas are great, you get lamb and mutton, beef is out of the question, far too expensive. Your palate will thank you though, karoo lamb/mutton is awesome. I also did not see any hardbodies, not that I was looking out for them, but there are plaashoenders (you need to brush up on your Afrikaans) which are all good.

Be sure to be open-minded, you will learn a lot of things that way. Once again, it's what you make of it.

Brakpan by the sea.....
No comparison. And I know, I lived there for 9 months. Brakpan is way worse, full of gatkruipers. There aren't many mines in PE, except maybe some panning in the Brak river.
