Just had FTTH installed by Telkom, with much trepidation as I could not ascertain from Telkom whether I would keep my existing landline number or not, depended on who I asked at Telkom / Telkom store. Well I FTTH and have retained my landline number.

As the installers,( Opensource - did a sterling job, no complaints there,) did not have a modem to give me they used my existing ADSL/Fibre modem, hence, I did not think to inform them that I had a port forwarding configuration on my system.

The port forwarding is now not working, I can only think it has something to do with the ONT installed ?

If is does have and effect, how do I correct this ?

Thanks to those who can enlighten me

I don't think the ONT will cause problems with that, your IP has most likely changed so have you checked it/updated your dynamic DNS program if you're using one?

As mentioned, check your new IP.
Your own fibre router is most probably dialing the PPPOE connection.

There isn't an IP address on the ONT, so it would not be the ONT.
