Off to VFS for VISA appointments tomorrow - reviews indicate a mixed bag.

Capago for France was so pleasant in 2019 also got VISA within 24 hours.

Busy with bio then done.

Seems like really mixed reviews but from my experience was pleasant pretty much like capago. Pretty expensive as there are extra service charges for vfs was 5.2k for two applications including photos.
Took 1 hour.

Appointment was at 930 but seems they don't really stick to that was there at 8 and helped as I hit the front.

@Snyper564 Visa granted?

We've been in Porto for about a week now, and it looks like the Uber situation has improved a lot: last year, drivers would accept a ride, then cancel, leaving you waiting up to 30min for a ride as the cancellations kept adding up. None of that this year.

Groceries seem to cost quite a bit more as well, although restaurant prices seem to be the same.

Not yet just crossed the 15 working day minimum. So hopefully get feedback soon!

Got the call and SMS pretty much 15 business days after application

I assume its been granted, the packs are sealed so you dont know until you collect - pretty chuffed with turnaround time wont lie. Hoping with the longest time period now!

Best thing about application was that VFS packed my wife and my passports together so they both ready for collection now!

I usually book the previous night too if I can't get an early check-in. Especially the first day you don't want to hang around for a whole day in Lisbon dirty and tired.

As for Coimbra or Nazare, I will check from which one it will be the easiest to get back to Lisbon. I have only been to Coimbra and it is a nice University town with quite a few restaurants and Fado shows.
Both are easy drives back to Lisbon.

If in Coimbra go check out "little Portugl" or Portugal dos Pequinhos.

If you like history, check out Coinimbriga, Roman ruin.

thanks for this, we're going to Casa de São Lourenço next week, will detour via the museum on the way there
Its really impressive when you think some of the stuff there and the walls/mosaics are over a thousand years old.

Its very hot at the moment there, my old lady is with family about 10kms out of Coimbra and we have family home about 40kms away, its baking!
