My power supply blew up.
What is a good replacement to fit on a full tower size chassis.
Long connectors a must.
Over 700W and less than R1000.
Any ideas please?

normally most of the modular PSUs have longer cables.

I would suggest looking at the better quality PSUs.

TX and HX are very different. HX is modular. Both are really good PSUs. TX is an older design (circa 2006), while HX was released in 2009.

I am about to decide for the Corsair TX750, it is about R300 cheaper than the HX750.
(On most online shops)
Now this modular cable management, is it really important?
I mean I just need longer than average cables for a full tower; why the "modular"aspect is important?
Thanks

having modular is not that important. It's about your preferences.

Modular allows you to link only those cables you need to the powersupply. Meaning unless you're running many hardware bit that run on power you can keep the inside of your chassis neater.

The manufacurers realise that the most people buying their product are gamers & know that the more powerful PCs need longer cables as it does not make sense to squash all that into a small chassis...

Edit:
So they generally make the modular cables longer than the std ones.

Therefore, if I have a large chassis, it really shouldn't make a big difference.
I'm happy to roll & hide neatly the cables I wont be using, while saving some money.
Thank you Venomous
