Ok so it was a 1349MW drop from Friday to Sunday, now wonder what it is tonight cause the power alert indicated 2GW shortfall

Will need to see what Sunday brought, but if looking at Sundays numbers it would be an increase in planned by a %

I was a tad off

Planned only went up 0.4% but overall actually a pretty good week, last seen October last year when they proclaimed the 60% week

Yup, people also tend to forget the role of the OCGT, it is supposed to be used at peaks if there is insufficient capacity, as coal takes time to ramp up so sometimes they miscalculate.
So Eskom has actually been using it more or less how it was in 2020 or so.

They even using pumped hydro like how its meant to be used.

They must really be desperate.

But anyway, this was uncalled for by me. I have seen you sometimes criticise them.
 
Hmm ok so poweralert updated, not looking good for tonight more OCGT burning, but of course we have no numbers as yet for last night.
