Orania would need a close cooperation with Lexiland along with let's say a dozen further "homelands", all willing to live in close proximity to each other, and having a good enough relationship with SA (from whom they've all seceded?) to allow for their feeding back into the Eskom grid (nighttime).

Nah

:crying:

1.3GW of pumped hydro and 1.3GW of OCGT usage at 6pm peak. Why not use 2.6GW of pumped hydro?

Sorry, you lost me.

Close co-operations are planned for in every corner of the globe, to make goods and services affordable.

I would expect Orania, The Cape of GH, Lexiland etc. to be well-entrenched in close cooperation, if not by the time of their independence, then soon after.

Also, does your answer explain why you could not construct a smaller version of a coal-powered energy plant?

In terms of distribution across SA, if SAns stand to benefit, their government will respond to that expectation and facilitate mutually beneficial trade with these independents.

Do you think the ANC, post indpendence, would be able to sustain its criminal behavior as though no CI etc. had happened?

Think about it, it would lose its trump card i.e. the race card.

I mean Sasol built their own 880MW plant in Secunda, plus they have Sasol One which is 140MW, plus they have a 140mw gas one. So one company has built enough to power Bloem :)
